Re: YEZDI D250 CLASSIC back to life
Yeah I will. I will keep everything original. Except for d chrome which I'll do later. For now black engine for a year or two. And lots of work to be done in engine.Originally posted by srikany View PostAll the best with your restoration. I hope you would keep things as close to original setup as possible.

All the best for your restoration. I think being in Mysore you should be able to source them at any junkyards.
BTW you are lucky to get the pin type key (wats the cost??) I'm looking for one for my JAWA.
Cheers!!

Re: YEZDI D250 CLASSIC back to life
Hi all.
I don't know if i should be writing this here, but sincerely hope the mod lets me to post it.
I am looking for a jawa yezdi D 250 classic to gift to my dad. H
Long story cut short, my dad rode the yezdi for 28years, i basicallygrew up sitting on its tank. He fainted one day while riding and the docs said he shouldn't be riding anymore. So the yezdi used to be sitting in the garage idle. Then i started taking it out.i used to have fun on it and loved ridinv it as much as my dad used to. He asked me not to ride it many times because the brakes wernt the best and other things.
One day when i cane back from college in my holidays, i found the yezdi was gone. My dad had sold it. I was broken, didn't say a word, felt cheated. Before i could get things figured out, my mum came and explained to me.
The yezdi was frienx for 28yrs, a single day would not pass by when he would not wish to ride it. She said my riding it reminded him of his inability to ride it. So he sold it. That day i was damn sad. Sad for my dad.
But since he sold his yezdi, i see in his eyes, a single doesn't pass by when he doesn't regret selling.
I earn now. I will save money to get a yezdi for hik, tye same model, and get it restored completely. If need be i will get my dad operated so that he is no longer unable to ride. I want him not to feel incapable of riding his best friend. And even if it isn't curable, i know , that a biker like him, would love to ride rather than worrying about his health. The same rider is in me, and so i know what it takes to seperate from your machine.
I need a yezdi classic 250,anybody up for selling , or might know ofsomebody who is, please post here the contact or call me on 09987271374.
I heard somewhere, when i die, bury my yezdi along with me.
Thank you for your patience.
