• Project "Pleasure Ride" - RX135 4S powerplant rebuild !!

TARGET:
- This power plant build up is intended to have the below said new sub-assemblies:
• - Cylinder kit
• - 4S head
• - Complete crank assy
• - Complete clutch assy
• - Crank bearings
• - Sprocket assy
• - Complete kicker assy
• - Complete gear shifter assy
• - Complete 4S transmission assy EXCEPT the gears
• - All cases (four speed)
• - All the associated power plant attaching parts

PERFORMANCE:-

As said earlier, I am not looking for an exceptionally high performance out from my build. But this does not also limits in bringing in few performance goodies/modifications 
• - High compression head mod
• - Digital ignition
• - Smoothened out cylinder ports and transfers
• - 100/90 watts lighting kit
• - RX king carb. Shall go with matching reduced size genuine mikuni jets - as the stock jets in this carb can flood the engine with fuel.
• - Slightly bigger intake filters

THE ROUTE:-

The route was not easy as I said earlier. Had a big time to procure the genuine parts. Interacted with many sellers quoting exorbitant prices, dalals (middlemen/brokers), misers and of course nevertheless few genuine sellers. Had to run around in and out of the city to collect them. And to add this point the hunt for the parts started in the beginning of last year. Well you might think why I had to wait for such a long time to sort the spares out, and the reason is I did not want to pay a lakh of rupees for simple nut/bolt, yet a rare part. And all it works is patience.

And still I am hunting for a few parts which shall land soon into my garage.
Shall keep you guys updated as and when there is a progress in the work. For now would like post few pictures.

Cheers

add a new non cat exhaust assly to your list, there is no point in building up an engine to that spec and then strangling it with a cat con exhaust

ps: is that an rdd cdi kit in the 5th pic from the top also what year is this rx from ,looks to be a late model

Thanks for your suggestion kb100, but I've already moved onto the free flow exhaust and the bike is running on the same at the minute.

Nice start Augmentor.....Kicker assembly shows that you are going for regular chrome pipe.

Hey Vishal, nice to know that you are going to execute the plan that you have been thinking for a long long time. All the best. Well, you know we are all here watching. Good to see all OE spares hunted down. If you want some good bearings for the engine rebuild, I can help unless you already got them all.

I have got the stock bearings, but can give you a shout later if I change my mind to have sone performance bearings. Thanks a lot bro.

Request you all to bring in any ideas or suggestions so as to make this build special. Would be really nice to listen to you all and implement the same.
