    RD

its 200% true, coz CEO & MD of Yamaha, Yukimine Tsuji said it. but i guess they wont come in normal cost...especially RD spares. i beleive yamaha will import more than 50% of the components from Japan.

Even Hero Honda spares are available up north in plenty than we guys down south.
TVS parts are available in plenty in Bangalore and surrounding areas coz of the location of ther factory. Even bajaj parts are available to an extent here coz of the plant in pune and stockists are plenty in bangalore/chennai.
the geographic location of the manufacturer also makes a big difference for spares availability,.
Yes you are right. But I meant the 2-stroke bikes are still running around in cities down south like Bengaluru and Chennai. I don't see it in Delhi as much as I see it here. Thats all I meant. Spares, like you said, might be available more in Delhi.

        Cheers!!!!

U have some of the best spareparts stockists down south here. Especially CBE. Bangalore is pretty good when it comes to RD spares. Apart from the cylinder/piston/rings everything else can be easily sourced almost everywhere.
if only yamaha can start selling the same spares as what they produced untill 1990, it'll be great. I mean including those traditional switchgear, locks, levers etc...it would be too dated for today's standards, but thats where the classic beauty of the RD lies.
I guess the RDs prices also might drop a bit if spares are gonna be easy to buy.

Hats off Yamaha...perhaps that's why they touch hearts more than any other manufacturer...

I think it will be the other way.. as the number of RD350s are not gonna increase and people will be more inclined towards buying RDs coz of the availability of new OE spares.. im sure the craze is gonna be rocking once again..

I really hope for a day on which i'll be able to buy a pair of new RD350 blocks & silencers from the local Yamaha outlet

i sincerely hope so too...i gonna personally get 2 crankshafts and the whole bottom end..but somehow i don't see this happening..they'll introduce a few pistons and rings and thats about it..getting RD spares rolling is way bigger a market just to win hearts of customers

                            Wow What a great news

I just bought a RX135 5 Speed, started saving money for performance upgrades like RD350's CDI and Carburator.
                            Thanks to Yamaha

Already clarified this aspect on the other thread.. Stick with stock carb for the time being as you feel as a total newbie.. or else, you can go for Flatslides + UNIs + bigger jets with a mild street port job done by an expert.. atul_astro can help you..
