  • Yamaha RX 100 6v to 9v or 12v conversion

    Hi friends have gifted my 1991 Yamaha RX100 to my younger brother as I have a C5 and he always desired to have the 2stoke mini rocket.
    Now we both are restoring it work is in progress will add pics soon.
    Engine is in great condition only paint and electrical work is to be done.
    Now we won't to convert it to a 9v or 12v if possible sorry bow this may sound silly but I really don't have any idea about it but my brother wants to do so to get a better head lamp focus etc etc.
    Can any one tell if it is possible? and if so what should be done?

    Query Approved
    Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

    Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

      12V is the only option (I don't think a 9V system exist) All that you need is a 12V system borrowed from RX135.
      For better HL focus, stock reflector couldn't help much. Swaraj Mazda / DCM Toyota reflector should do the job well without sacrificing the stock look

      Nissan Sunny XVD | Toyota Corolla | Suzuki Ritz
      Yamaha RX135 4s-->5s | Yamaha RX100 | Yamaha RXG | Yamaha Ray | TVS Scooty Streak | Duke 390
      2000 Yamaha RX135 5s (Sold) | 1998 Yamaha RX135 4s (Sold) | 1997 Yamaha RXG (Sold) | 1994 Yamaha RX100 (Sold)

        What 12v system does RX135 include to be borrowed

          You just need the coil and magnet of an old 135 and a new 12v wiring harness and rectifier.
