    Oil leaking from Yamaha rxz .

    Hi Guys .

    I have recently restored a Yamaha Rxz 4 speed . But since the day 1 i have been noticing a oil leak from the engine . I took it back to the mechanic and after repeated attempts to rectify the oil seal he says that i need to change the whole engine assembly . But he also told me that i can continue riding with this oil leak for 10,000 kms (bike has been re bored ) and it won't be a problem , As the assembly replacement is out of my budget right now .

    Is this correct , is it ok for me to continue riding with this issue ? I also use direct mix of oil in petrol and not the oil pump .

      Best possible solution, change your lazy mechanic.
      Do post the exact location where the oil leaks (a snap should speak out more & better words than a lengthy post)
      Cracked / damaged engine case could be one possible problem, if the damage is within repairable extent, aluminium welding and machining should address the issue.

        As said by Mr Boss a snap of leakage with location will be better for proving a soon.
        My 91 Rx 100 had a leakage in engine casing near the oil drain bolt was sealed with aliuminium welding'
        For your csae if the leakage is from joint of engine casing 'alumium welding and maching followed by blue contact test will solve your problem.
        Always route 2T oil throurgh the Autolube oil pump,The displaces required amoumt as per engine speed oil to the carb the std qty is 1Oz / 25 m for one litre f fuel for RX 100.
        Is ur low oil waring lamp working?
