                Re: RD 350 - Overhaul -aby 4799

Striped the bike Yesterday. I was excited for some reason. Sanjay (Mechanic) started to strip the bike and Naveen helping him. It was great feeling when i have seen the pistons and cylinders for the first time. I was very much disappointed with looking at the engine which was in very bad condition due to the after market cylinders and pistons. That moment i felt that I will not compromise in building this beauty and want to do my best to see that the Legend gets back its beauty with best parts in it. I was disappointed with the many changes done with the beauty.

At that moment only thing going on in my head is I wanna change every nut and bolt. But I was not aware what I can change. I kept asking Naveen can we change this part or something else because I don't wanna comprise in re-storing this beauty. But one thing which made me confident was the parts I have ordered with help of Naveen. I have learnt many things many basics in this journey of 1 month from him. But the most important thing I understood is How important it is to have a pro guiding and helping you out.

I might be able to spend money but what I understood was getting the parts and also identifying the rite one is very important which money also cannot buy. Thanks to Naveen in helping me out in finding out all the parts I want like Tank, crank, clutch,Silencers, tail light,Idicators and cylinders
Now planning get the PROX pistons too.

Thank you all for the Support

This was the very main reason for which I joined the xBhp.
In the past if something happens to my bike then I was solely depends on the mechanic to get it fixed, now I have much confidence that whatever happens to it now I can fix it by myself.

Sure Naveen will go with Japanese oil seals and packing kit. I remember you telling me the same from day one.

Waiting for the clutch and crank to be delivered which had cleared the customs. Will be ordering the PROX pistons with help of naveen. Planning to go with the U.S Spec Speedometer and also giving a thought on RD 400 Speedometer.

well if you ask me rd400 meter looks handsome no doubt about that,,, yet the mounting not the same as rd350's meter when it is bolted on the triple tree top.. you might have to use a custom made bracket and mount it,, well if you have an option for the 350 meter go for it,, only if hard to find one try the 400

keep posting ,,, we guys are waiting for the updates

Finally got the crank and clutch but need to work on them. Left with Pistons and cylinders. Thank u Naveen for helping me in getting the parts to restore the beauty.

Guess what I was charged 5500rs for the exhausts and 4500rs for the tank to clear the customs. Yesterday I received indicators , crank and clutch. For a shock not even in my dreams they charged 3 k for the I dicatos and 0 rs for the clutch and crank.

                            Will update the pictures soon.
