Update:-

1. Front end disc brake is not functional. The master cylinder needs o ring replacement. I have ordered one and it's on the way.

2. Bike was fed with excessive 2T oil resulted in sluggish acceleration. Now, I have balanced the ratio by filling more petrol. Felt some ease but I did not run a whole lot.

3. Changed the tank and side shields to the Black.

4. Got blessed with leak from fuel filter, threw it out for now and directly connected the tube from tank with carb.

5. Pending :- Electricals & crash guard.

6. Not going to look at the snare beat from engine. Let me do some more run. I have just crossed 110 kms so far.

+ The seat cover is hideous. Try to get one without the logo.

The rear looks raised, little more than my liking. Needs that RX 125 signature visor to complete the look.

Haha, yes. I agree. This was makeshift seat. I actually did not purchase seat yet. Will do.

Seat- yes, will buy one.

The rear is not raised. Infact it's stock frame I had it corrected too. Could be that lot of bikes with 17/16" wheel puts them low and you comparing with this.

That visor is available in MY/ID I guess. Will see if I could get my hands on it.

I was referring to the first pic where the rear mudguard looks higher than a stock bike, maybe the shock height is not in its softest settings.

I have seen a lot of RXZ especially from TN on olx with MY/ID rxz visors, maybe talk to someone and find out their source?

Update:-

Bike odo reads 180 kms

Fixed the front brakes. Took some efforts to go down to the caliper where there was some air block. Had to pump the Piston to get the air out at reservoir.

Battery fuse is now installed. Horn and rear indicators work.

Headlight socket was off the harness and now it's fixed. So can ride in the dark.

Still front console lights and brake lights are pending. Switch looks to be good but it's always lights. Could be neutral, don't know how bad it's messed up.

Accelerator grip is now baked in heat I guess, when I twist, it doesn't actuate throttle wire but moves over the throttle body as if some oil between the surface. Need to check and replace.

Silencer tube changed to the one which came in the bike. Dirty and soiled. After putting in, it gives a mellowed low beat with some treble. Hope it sets in good by the time I run-in.

Pending works:-

Electricals
Butterfly crash guard
Seat assembly
Good round of wash and polish.

I'd suggest wrapping the grip so that the Heat from this insane summer won't melt it lol.My Max 100R has Leather wrap on both the grips.But I tightened both the switchgear consoles,both left and right so badly that I ended up rounding off the screws so they sit tightly now.Hope it helps!

I will buy another one and put it up. There are some things which has a signature styling when it comes to RX, that starts with thin ribbed grips.

hey Sriram,

Are you doing the wiring yourself? There is an easy way to test neutral, You need to turn the ignition on and remove the wire from the neutral switch, connect this wire to any metal part and if it glows then the neutral switch is gone kaput. if it doesn't glow then you need to check if the supply is coming to this bulb.

Thanks Pramod. I will try doing this weekend. As far as I remember it's maze of wires stacked up in to puny headlight doom. Though it may not be a big deal but definitely it is a mess.

Its actually pretty simple, There are 3 straightforward connectors. rest are to be color matched. Now your base vehicle is an RX 100, the wiring for the pilot lamp is that of an rxz, in simple terms you need to modify the wiring a bit so that the indicator signal works in the pilot lamp when you use both left and right indicators. rest connectors are straightforward.

Update:

Odo - 2000 kms (trust me, not much of riding)
Carb - RXG
Needle - third slot from top
Main jet: 140
Pilot: 20
Cutaway: 2.0(normal)
AFR: will let you tomorrow.
Plug color: between dark and rust brown.


Running on 115cc setup, had a nagging issue with rxg carb. Well, not exactly very troublesome but cold start issue and idling. I managed to better control of the idling but this cold start persists.

Did a power cycle method of checking from ignition, plug, fuel flow etc. All looks good and worked as expected.

I know that the carb on the bike was personally cleaned and changed worn parts like air screw o ring, deep cleaned Atomizer, etc. I ran this set up since 115cc block was put in. Told myself not to disturb and let it complete run-in.

Sat with the bike, had a spare carb but most of the parts were not present, so swapped from the running carb.

The air circuits might have reasonably clog free or the air screw might be leak free. Too intrinsic to detect.

While putting back, found Mr. Cable adjuster was bit off. Bogged down a bit and the cutaway dunked making idle better.

Had to again dial in AFR to get the fluttering free throttle.

After swapping, bike idled without stammering and did not find myself kicking multiple times to get it started. Couple of kicks it's up and running.

So my understanding is that, don't give up and try some other carb to see if that improves the idling and cold start.

Coming up

1. Need to check the 2T oil tank for the leak from the inspection window(it did last time so replaced the rubber o ring).
2. 2T oil tube to be changed as I had disconnected at the pump itself
3. RPM not working, need to check what happened to the wire/gear.
4. speedo console bulbs/wire need to be checked. The center console is totally dark.I don't think it was connected earlier.
5. Might tighten the coneset as I suspect it has to be adjusted.
6. Will be tightening all the engine bed bolts/screws, might improve the vibration noise.
7. Thorough water wash after removing tank, side panels & chain cover.
8. Put on the new tank and side shields which is waiting for nearly 12 months.
