  • LED headight for my Shogun.

    Hello people,

So I currently have a regular headlight for my Gun. Not the stock one though - I prefer the round lamp of Samurai/Shaolin to the stock rectangular one.

Anyway, I was thinking of switching to LED. How do I go about it? Is it just a matter of switching bulbs, or do I have to replace the reflector as well?

    Let me know. Cheers!

Ideally reflector should also be changed, but hardly we have options or we are open to change.

If your requirement is only better lighting then stock reflector, give a try with 4 wheeler reflector (Ambassador or TATA ACE) fixed in Samurai housing. I have done a similar transplant in Old Pulsar and the output was much more satisfactory.

If the above option doesn't solve the purpose, you may switch to LED replacement bulb.

Hey there. Thanks for the reply!

I will look into Ambassador and Tata ACE reflectors as you've suggested.

But if I'm to opt for LED, where might I find one that fits a Samurai housing? Couldn't find anything online. Should I just change the bulb, or reflector too?

You will need to change wiring. Old bikes run on ac which will not run the led.
