the stock airbox has a small air flow capacity.it is usually done so to improve mileage(less airflow= less petrol).to see how much an engine sucks air and how restricted it is, just open the battery cover.u will find a inlet pipe to the airbox on the right top side of the battery.
now start the engine and rev it with a hand close to the inlet.
see all the air gushing through?
the reason why uni is recomended over a k&n is that because of a k&n's design cone, it tends to send a reverse wave which will screw ur jetting and is not healthy for a two stroke engine

the cdi offers benefits in the following ways
      1-improved spark strength
      2-dynamic timing

spark strength would mean ur fuel/air mixture is burnt more efficiently
dynamic timing adjusts ur spark timing(with respect to crank angle)depending on rpm
at low rpm's the engine needs to fire after tdc(called retard).however at higher rpm's the spark should occur at or before tdc(called advance).however on a static system the spark point is set at a fixed angle(say 23 deg.) at all/any rpm's.hence the spark timing is off(not perfect) at most rpm's except where it is timed.

rdd cdi is a dynamic cdi and hence has the above mentioned advantages.
the above explanation is very basic.there are a few of other factors in all of this.

the uni supplied by rdd has the advantage of ets supplied with it to match ur bike.
hence u wont have to roam around searching jet sizes to sort ur jetting issues.

        ^^^ thanks for that

        you got me confused here:

the reason why uni is recoended is that because of it's design cone, it tends to send a reverse wave which will screw ur jetting and is not healthy for a two stroke engine
        can you please elaborate ?

an k&n will send a reverse pulse through ur carb making the fuel richer.it is fine for a 4-st but on 2-st it's not appreciable.
          it's a problem due to k&n design

The cat silencer gives a smoother feel and a little more kmpl. Also smokes less. But it lowers the performance(not too much though) compared to a normal exhaust. And if you are into wheelies, cat is a very bad idea coz it weighs too much and all that weight one side will be a problem while riding on one wheel.
