@tabish2k - I am planning to fit a pulsar 200 rear and front wheels. I think this should improve the acceleration and control while losing FE (which really should not be considered in a Shogun

).

@nitro.1000bhp - Do we need to change the complete fork assembly or just the bottom outer tube?

Shadow ? the blue shaolin which is seen very rare in bangalore
How was the bike - about performance
Can you share the changes in that bike in detail

There was never a 7 plate basket for the shadow and FYI I used to ride a Shadow myself which was a Kitted proto bike from TVS racing. used to run a Nippon pre-programmed Group C ignition. The shadow has the same clutch as the shogun/shaolin with 5 plates and also the shadow was never sold to public. Only a few people with contacts had access to it.
You cant transplant the Shaolin GB into the shogun crankcase. The crankcase itself has to be changed to the shaolin.

like swingarm said, restore it to original. looks the best. u can use the victor swing or the fiero f2 swingarm ..but its only cosmetic.. n stock engine has enough street performance..

blue shaolin isn't the shadow.. shaodow is basically a more powerful shaolin, with a disc and around 16bhp...

^You can install a pulsar swingarm or stull on the Shogun or more obviosuly any TVS bike due to compatability issues. It'll also be too long and handling will go for a toss.
Also wider tyres on a 110cc bike is a bad idea. Too much of rolling resistance and those pulsar alloys are heavy!
What a shogun needs for good handling is a victor GL swingarm and a good disc brake kit upfront.
Again a TVS -Girling disc-kit of the Fiero or RTR will be the best best again due to the compatability factor. All TVS bike cycle parts are inter-changable. Right from an AX100 to the RTR. One good thing about TVS.

@Vasanth - The blue color shaolin was the face-lifted shaolin from 1999. The shadow would look more like a shogun itself and has an alloy wheel and disc. All black paint scheme, gear indicator, electronic tacho with a new cluster, suzuki single pot disc kit, 16bhp and a new exhaust but similar to the shogun.

so are the shadow's spare available... eg gear indicator, electronic tacho with a new cluster... to install on a shaolin?..

@tabish2k the shaolin came with the tacho and the gear indicator.. i think the first models didn't have them.. but mine does

i put a suzuki(left side) fiero disc on the bike.. the one with the narrow speedo worm

I am just not able to locate the FieroF2/FX front wheel hub and disc assembly

. For RTR they say you need to place an order. My bike has already been stripped and will be sent for painting by this weekend, so dont have time to wait. Or I may just have to drop the discs for now.

I dont think u need to change the fork assy , the main tubes and fork legs should slide in the standard assy, but the pulsar's T-clamps are of better quality, the top one is allminium (lighter) and they have a wider profile which makes it look better too.

LOL. Thats TVS! Love 'em or hate 'em it is your choice.

Friendly advice: Forget the F2 stuff altogether.

if you have contacts, u can get all the stuffs mate!
Just plan what all parts u need and head to the junkyard or some contact. U'll get all that u need.
Psycho knows a few ppl.

Since you are in Bangalore - an alert for you. Stay away from Zen TVS unless ofcourse you have substantial experience in detecting "cleverly forged" parts with genuine parts.

dump the TVS idea..expensive..and the braking isnt any different from the bajaj pulsar frontend..parts availability matters
