The rear shocks are a Pulsar's painted red I think I am gonna be throwing em into one of the stinky lakes in Bangalore and will be replacing them with stock RX shox also the front forks are heightened I will have to get that bike to stock I took to a Mechanic called Imran today and asked him to do it but his opinion was "Acha look aata sir aisa ich Rakko" lol! Bollock It sucks. The forks are a high priority job the bike does nt handle too well with thi setup.

Today I think I got over zealous and blew the engine Did a high speed run in the morning and when i neared home ReX was making some loud grunty jingly sounds. Maybe its time for ReXy's engine build as well!

I knew it seemed to be some stupid shocks . Dint you get your engine inspected when you bought it . I did that mistake and boy was a big one .
Which size piston your currently running ? .
The best you can hope for is worn out piston rings .
      All the best mate .

PS : And pls stay away from those dumb mechs .

They re stupid shox espcially the freakin red paint! Yuck! Told ya I am gonna be throwing into a stinky bangalore lake maybe ulsoor lake. no it already too polluted. lol!

Engine inspection nah! Relied on mine and arvindraju's judgement and it was sounding good then but a couple of high speed runs must have blown it. I am suspecting there is play in the con rod and busted rings. I am not gonna be riding ReX till I get enough funds for an engine rebuild. Well even if it's just busted rings I am goin for a new bore and a crank reset. I want me bikes in prime health otherwise i lose me peace of mind. And yea no clue what size piston he is running I ve not opened the engine.

Yea gonna stay away from dumb mechs!

Well you said a big thing there , Peace of mind is the most imp .

Well I think you should get the inspection done , If you were on standard or 1st oversize its ok . Anyways do keep a spare block piston kit as I always tell you . Run this first if it is fine or still keep it with you , in the worst scenario atleast you can do some shitty sleeve and still run the bike . A single block run quite long on an RX , ofcourse with proper maintenance which I am sure you look after .
Check out for Bearings also . Sometimes they are the culprit .

hey bro congrats your bike looks neat and nice man....

Now since she has suffered some problem bt yeah she is in good hand so not to worry. I am preety sure thats she is in good hand so not to worry abt it. But yeah when you get all things done regarding your engine then do get the oil pump also checked alrite.... and in between if u run your bike before getting the oil pump checked then put 2T mixed fuel in your tank.... and yeah as said by one of our friends do keep a cylinder kit in stock as RX is one bike which can go ages if properly maintained,.... I would be waiting for your bike's engine rebuild...... cheers

about Cylinder kit its gone expensive now... for my RX100 its costing around Rs 5000 and the crank assembly around Rs. 2500 (Delhi price)

Lot of alterations there. Headlight, indicators, side panels apart from parts already mentioned. But the biggest eye sore is the seat. Just my opinion though, please dont take offence.

The seat's ok for me, not that much of a priority a stock seat can be plonked anytime. No offense taken at all! There are a lot more eyesores that i need to sort like that extended front fork and the god damn red shox ,the oversize headlight dome and indicators.

Well! Got me paycheck early this Festive season and all! So tomorrow the work starts. Will post more about the developments on the otherside of the weekend.

True. Thats why I said 'apart from the things mentioned'.

All the best for your re-build. Are you painting/chroming too? If so please let me know the quote you have got for it (over PM if you wish).

Oh yea the swing arm.You shold see it fishtailing sometimes pfff! Will add that to me list. I have seen a rectangluar swingarm on a few RXes or thought to have seen one! Anyone got any info on this??

@psycho: Where is bike world located in Jayanagar exactly and do you who I can talk to there?

Also I figured my car needs my attention now. Today i felt the left front wheel wobble around a little so I am gonna be dedicating some time attention and resources to the car for awhile and take things a lil slow with the RX.

@nittingirish: I like the red shade on the bike even the fading so I will getting a one clear coat on the tank and shields and a frame repaint job. But then that would be the final thing after the engine rebuild. Will let you know my findings though!
