Ride on bumpy roads
A small ride report now, as I near the 500 km mark. Firstly, I checked the speedo error on an earlier ride using GPS; the speedo is showing 5 kmph more than it's supposed to. I am doing the running in accordingly, mostly below 50 and a few moments can't feel the bike has reached 60
.
Today took the bike to a bumpy road of about 2 km long. Bumpy as in clay road with lots of trucks/tractors plying around. Add to that some sand scatterrd at some areas and in large amounts too. Had a lightweight pillion as well to take the feedback on ride quality. What I felt was the front was diving in too deeply at the surface variations and that jerks was not felt on any part of the body. We were riding along like on the back of a camel, as my friend told me
. The bike was a little too unstable on the sandy stretches, and that bothered me a little. Was it due to the 3.25 Dunlop at the rear? Someone please comment. Finally hit tarmac and raced off at the needle hovering at 60 (true 55) at most times. At times, the bike was pushed to 60 (true) for a few seconds and then brought back to the 50s. This was done with longer periods at 60 after an interval of a few minutes. Finally reached a dam where I found the dreaded red soil tarmac with minute solid stones. I felt the bike weaving a little, though the pillion didn't feel the same. A road surface with stones embedded was covered easily without problems. When going up the dam, the bike's front tyre missed once and I corrected it immediately. Coming down was a horror, since a small 2-meter stretch had nothing but big stones on it and the bike stopped in first gear right on top of them, making the other guy jump off the seat. Maybe clutch needs adjustment, or I should have given a little throttle to prevent the engine from stalling.
In the end, back to my office for lunch. No particular complaints from the bike except the wobbling on sandy surface. And yes, Woodland trademark shoes suck when changing gears

Thanks mate...Some things are pending for the Bull, including a new headlamp setup, TB backrest, a sturdy crashguard and a saree guard for my girlie. And yes, a scooter type standlock to keep the thieves away.Originally posted by 2fazt4ya View PostUr black bull is a beauty bro....

Yeah that bar type crash guard is utterly useless.... It doesnt bite good on the frame.... I hav the same crash guard on my Twinspark.Even After thorough tighting I could still move it without much effort.
BTW.What do u mean by new headlamp setup? New bulb or HID? I am also planning for a new bulb. Preferably an ozram night breaker or philips white light.sigpic

Same here. The bar came for free and couldn't find a diamond crashguard here, so would be ordering from Delhi. I am not going for HID if the 55/60W NB or Philips is good enough, but if not, then HID it isOriginally posted by 2fazt4ya View PostYeah that bar type crash guard is utterly useless....
