            Another 2-stroke
RXZ is one looker man. Bring some RXZ-Malay parts and spice it up man. I rode one there and it was an all new machine. The fairing and other bits of the other RXZ are cheaper to source than the indian ones now . Will look more upmarket and spicy.

afaik, the malay RXZ is vastly different from our RXZ. i sourced all the parts catalog etc, to compare the two, but it seems that that bike runs a higher compression, and bigger ports, and a bigger carb, with a better CDI.

i checked for importing a complete engine sealed, cost of engine with carb, cdi, etc came to about 55-60k excluding shipping.

But 21 bhp and 6 speed?? whoa! 160 out of the showroom!

And incidentally, its one of the few bikes which comes with a company fitted expansion chamber.

@atul - can u compare the two and check if somethings can be shared??? im already in the process of getting a 5 speed block, piston, rings and con-rod from there, just waiting for delivery.

Have seen a malay RXZ engine opened up in person. Almost no parts can be reused in our Indian RX.

                  EDIT:

@jd: 5 speed? There is a 5 speed RXZ (supposedly made in japan) with bodywork exact replica of the Indian RXZ, made in around 1995-1997 based on the malay RXZ bottom end. Those engine parts cannot be used with the Indian RX. Hope you knew this beforehand and not ordered the wrong parts. Other than this bike there is no other so called "5 speed" RXZs.

I'm refering to the cosmetics. Engine has a different bore and stroke and everything is different. I have personally seen the engines there during race weekends at MSS - sepang. However since the indian body panels and cowls are expensive and hard to source, the malay ones can be used.

Thats the RX-K, the indian RX100, RX135, RXZ are all based on that basic motorcycle. Dont worry. I have sourced those parts only. 5 speed RXZ was only sold as the first generation rxz in south east asia, and our 5 speed RXZ, but those are also not similar at all. Vastly different.

Plastic body for the RXZ is available here, unless you want it in racing blue. The red/black ones are available here. Infact i was lucky that i bought a brand new tank which was over 7 years old!!! the condition was fantastic.

The first generation RXZ was 5 speed, and then later was upgraded to a 6 speed. I have the parts catalogs if you want for reference.
