BTW, did the motor come head-less when bought in scrap or was it dismounted before these pics were taken (looks unlikely by seeing the amount of dust near the connecting rods)?

Yes that is the RD that Dhoni bought from Sumeet but it was a scrap RD and was built just like any other rebuilt, let the thread be complete, I am sure everyone here would like to know how & why Sumeet's rebuilt was bought, if you know the story please don't spoil the fun for others, doesn't make you look like a gentleman!
