amar those silencers are called expansion chambers and they are for performance..not looks..on a stock bike u can bost performance by 15% by plugging on a set of good chambers and upto 30% on a ported bike...a good set of chambers sound better than the stock rd silencers..atleast i prefer the rd scream to the rd growl LOL

Thanks. Now my search will begin, I will sell my caliber and with the money buy the bike, else I will be having 3 bikes and will have to spend huge money on maintaining(Caliber, P150, RX). What ammount can I get for my caliber croma(Drum brake). It is 9 month old and has covered 10030 KM. I bought it for Rs.42000/-

Rajnish can we get new dials or new meters of my RD.

And another thing i want to ask is this.

Someone is selling his RD in 8000.
Engine - works OK (had a 2-3 kms ride)
          Pick up - nice
          Cylinders - sleeved
          Meters - dead
          Tank - dead
Silencer - not in good shape (Dented and rusted)
          Sound - good
          Model -1986
          Papers- OK
          Coils - Bullet coils
Chassis - not welded (Almost OK)
Battery - He will give new
          Carbs - seems good

Rajnish Should i buy this one.
Is there anything that we can do to get rid of these sleeved cylinders. not very expensive.

8k is ok for such bike, finely look at the chesis, shockers and electricals.lift barrels and see the connecting rod play.else keep 10k atleast in hand for the works.silencers r difficult to get,if nickeling works fine.ask the mech bout this.

then cool , I will wait and search for RD LT and if I get it I will just buy it. Do LT have less pickup? Can it do wheelies? What is its top speed?

For wheelies just revup no clutch needed for a good RD.

This guy really spent some good money on his bike.
This bike is somewhere in south.

I think this is the first discussion that has continued for three pages and without any salngs or quarrel. This proves that RDs are great.
And this is probably the first topic of the 2 st forum to continue for 3 pages. Go on, and show that even a discussion on RD is very much superior than on road run in ZMA or DTSi.

Definitely RDs are worth pages of discussion and hours of chatting!
Raj do you think that the LT will do 140kph becoz the manual says 130kph! So am not sure.
