I still remember the day when i made frantic calls(but no response from your side) to know your whereabouts while you were on your return journey to Bengaluru.

I did sense something was wrong but later it was confirmed when i got your SMS reading "Life is f*****"!!

It's good to see you coming back with your guns blazing again.Keep riding on and on..And btw, the log is fantastic.

Quite frankly I have no memory of that day or of the next few days. Things were just a blur and I had a robotic response to most things.

Glad that you liked the log!

We definitely should ride out together sometime! Sambit might not join us due to "family" constraints

          Thanks bro!

The only way getting over is fighting it back. After the crash when I initially started out riding I was very slow and overly cautious. That was not my natural style of riding and eventually I understood that doing something that does not come naturally to me is actually worse off than not doing things at all. So I slowly but steadily I made it a point to ride the way I rode earlier as much as possible.

Appreciate that you liked the log!

aaahhh.. So I see someone back to hitting highways. Good to see that.

I still remember the moments when we were all sitting together on 3rd Jan and you were discussing about tri-city meet - Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore at goa.. in the month of February... And I was nodding my head. We were just checking out your HTC.. and you said.. you will reach Bangalore by evening. And then we all left together.. and we entered into Satara.. waved hands and you left.

Same evening... I called you up to confirm.. whether you had reached or not.. and to my shocking surprize.. you told me the incident. 2 days later when i again callled you up in Morning to check if you had reached or not.. you narrated the incident which left Veda wounded for life. At one moment when you said Bro.. Another bad news.. I was like.. What "Is Veda safe".. and then you said he broke his leg.. then I felt relieved..

The way you told me.. I was like Veda is gone.. Veda chal basa..

But anyways... I still remember when I was coming to Karad to be with you for all those court & police formalities... I was freaking scared while riding on highway. I was hardly doing 75-80kmph. Just once or twice I touched 100 during 200 km ride from my home. Though I didnt really do anything at court, hospital and police station.. as all the necessary stuff were very well taken care by Rohan and Vishwash (Hats off to them for being fantastic source).

But the best thing to talk about from your incident.. RIDING GEAR SAVES LIFE. No doubts about that. What ever happened.. leave it.. best takeaway for everyone here is.. Wear a GOod Quality riding gear.

While telling people about the importance of riding gear... I always cite your example.

Well talking about this ride.. Once again.. Good to see you back.. and the P220.. Hail Biking.

                P.S - Nice pics.

                  Welcome back bro...

Never knew this sour part which kept you away from saddle, shocking it is. Hope Veda is also back to his form. I know better how such an indecent feels... Anyways, just wish those dark days are over and it feels good to see you back. And remember, we have a pending ride together. Hopefully Spiti sometime, what say!!!

I do remember your reaction over the phone, I was not in the right frame of mind to put in proper words. Sorry if it shocked you a bit too much.

Dude you were one of the strongest support for me in those days. Thank you for being there!

PS: That was my longest ride as a pillion on the 220, and hopefully the last as well.

200% to that. In my crash, everything from my helmet, riding jacket, gloves and knee guards took a bad hit. If I had not been wearing even one of these items, I would have been badly bruised. Now in the process of renewing my entire riding gear.

And Veda did not have a scratch or bruise on his body, except a small scratch on his face due the helmet rubbing against it on impact. Riding gear won't protect you against broken bones. But it will protect you with anything lesser.

                              Thank you.

The Lady was discharged within a few days from the hospital, she had a few stitches to her head. No grievous injuries to her as such. The case was closed on the second hearing, I decided to plead guilty pay the fine and close the case. It would have been next to impossible for me to keep traveling 700 Kms every month and fight a case which would have taken a few years to reach a verdict and huge losses to my bank balance through payment of lawyer fees and other bribes. Such is the sorry state of affairs of our legal system.

                                @Praful:
I have seen and experienced similar cases. Most of the 'Poor' people immediately rush (themselves or their childrens) onto the road at the time the vehicle reaches them. They do it so that they can then have alot or little of money from the car/bike owner. This is the FATE of this country that people are ready to destruct their body parts for money. I am too a victim of the same. And only GOD knows what is the feeling when one gets into all those Police and law agendas. It's feels like there is no life left ahead.

I took 2 years to recover my lost skills due to that incident.
