Monsoon Ride to Viajaywada on deadliest NH-9.

    You look like a phailwan in the day 2 pics And i never got to ride ur stunner

    I have been on this road only twice. Once i went upto narkatpally since i was bored and got freaked out immediatly!

    there was no vehicle in my lane, and i could see a truck coming on the opposite side. There were two trucks overtaking it, one on the left and one on the right covering the entire road and the right side of the gravel portion as well while one of the truck was heading right at me. I slowly reduce my speed and was ready to go oofroad and all of a sudden i see a Volvo bus overtaking all the three on the rightside off the road on the gravel. Now i have 4 vehicle covering the entire road coming straight at me at a good enough speed to kill me Luckily the volvo guys overtook all the trucks in time to miss me!

    This was THE scariest moment in my life!

      Thanks Tarc!! This is not part of NH9. It is near Tenali and surroundings, which is near coast. Paddy is the sole crop in these areas.

      Vijayawada and Chennai are similar in heat conditions. Hyderabad is different; you will not sweat like in Vijayawada. In monsoons, Hyderabad is a lovely place. It will be so cool and, I am sure, you will hate Chennai.

      You had a chance, but you did not use it. But, I am missing the Stunner FI now; the feel was amazing, just instant start and linear power. The FE is simply superb.

      That is so scary and, of course, it is common. Even if you are riding for n'th time, you will bound to get scary moments on this road.

      Also, morning and evening, herds of sheeps and buffaloes are the kings on this road.

        Hi Ravi really wonderful Images, I really liked them particularly the one in which the boy is running

        Even I do have lot of memories of travelling on NH9 mostly by bus, Have to agree with you about the dicey nature of the traffic on it. When i was testing my R15 to its/my limits on the stretch after Kodada during my first long ride, I suddenly saw a truck coming in opposite direction in the same lane,My heart was out for a moment.I think it was some where near Nandigama.

        Good time to take images of areas around Tenali, particularly the paddy fields and the canals. November should also be great if I am not wrong.

        But also great to hear you made abt 15 journeys on Bike, The only time I did,the reaction was ..........why on Bike?

          Glad that you liked the pics Mike!! Even though I made numerous trips on NH-9, everytime I think multiple times before starting whether to ride on this road or not. Such is the state of this highway.

              You are definitely missing the monsoons in Hyderabad. There has been excessive rainfall this year that even the Osmansagar and Himayatsagar filled to the brim. 8 gates of Gandipet lifted for two days flooding the musi river. It did not rain only for the past two days. It had rained for almost two months continuously.

              The places around Hyderabad are filled with lush green, making each ride a special one.

                    yes - have heard about it and saw your pics too. given a chance, I would like to plan my vacation during the monsoon - hoping that next year too we get enough rainfall there.

                    over here its like - Haroon once said - if he had to go for a 4day trip then he can click a couple of pics on the first day and then paste the same pics over and again. Hope it gives you an idea of the weather and the landscape here.

                      Thanks Manan. It was raining when I took that pic and did not want to stop. I had been noticing this scenery for almost two kilometers and finally I stopped convincing myself that this sunset needs to be shot. Now, I knew it is worth.

                        Some Awesome shots, Ravi Anna.Loved the lush greenery and the Dazzler looks hot in red.
