Awesome ride report and beautiful pics.

I love that last pic. Looks like an afterburner from a jet engine on your bandit.

Excuse me for saying this but the bandit looks a bit understated which is good in a way that it doesnt demand attention like most fully faired bikes.... still a very nice bike and i'm sure you are enjoying every moment with it. Must be great fun munching miles with this beast.

I enjoyed reading the report and the pics were really great.

Enjoy the bandit and ride safe. Nice to see you and the wife in protective gear.

      @pkon:

Great write-up, and wonderful photos to complete the narration. Nice to see the Bandit doing what it does best.....TOUR.

How long have you had the Bandit? Congrats on the superb buy.

It would be really nice to hear a detailed ownership experience you've had with this amazing machine, in the relevant forum.

Wishing you many more such adventurous rides ahead.

Well the jet engine pic was taken from the car while i we were riding through torrential rains near ajmer. And yes the Bandit is very understated and I like that as it doesnt grab attention and everyone does not want to touch and crowd around it. But its in no way understated in terms of performance :-)

Fantab pics and crisp log! I am assuming that a longer prose would feature on the magazine

Looking forward to the ownership experience of the Bandit as well!

Psst: What all goes into that camera kit? I can see a wideangle lense, a possible tele macro lense!

Beautiful pictures. I will read the log from the comfort of home.
Couple of questions on the Bandit.

                1. What range does it do on a full tank of fuel? What is the tank capacity?
                2. Did you only stick to 91+ Octane fuel?

No this is for the site only :-)

Well the camera kit had a 17-40, 24-105 with a 5D mark II.

And yes the ownership experience soon.

Considering it claims a 19 ltr tank the max I have done is 285 with the light blinking around 215. But i feel it can do atleast 40 odd more will try to exhaust the full tank soon.

Extra Premium does well for the fuel but there are instances where I have had to do with the normal fuel as well and it works just fine :-)

Thanks. Isnt exhausting the full tank bad for the injectors?

5D Mark II, Bandit .. wow!

                      OT:
AFAIK the Bandit runs on a low compression ratio.. 9.5:1 ... so virtually will run on any fuel as long as its injectors are able to pump out the fuel! Makes it a perfect India touring machine! If only they had bought the smaller Bandit as well for proportionate price -

A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

Lovely pictures Praveer, a very practial bike for touring and the comparatively flat seats ensure pillion comfort too..

Would like to hear more about its riding/handling in Wet conditions..
PS- Are they Michelin PPs on which the bandit is running?
