There is nothing to write much; it is just a short trip, and I will upload pictures tomorrow.

                  A little trip log here...

Ananthagiri Hills is the regular riding spot for our Hyderabad xbhpians (particularly to me, kp, Satish, Riaz, and for many), which is just 80-100kms away from heart of the city. A cool place to hang out and get rejuvenated, with lush green that is serene and calm.
While I was surfing on Google Earth a year back, I found a way through some villages to Vikarabad (a town 5 km before Ananthagiri) and ever since wanted to find out how that route would be (I love village routes). It happened finally last Sunday accidentally, and it was joy ride between beautiful landscapes.

On Sunday afternoon, I wanted to visit Gandipet as the gates of the reservoir were lifted due to heavy inflows after 10 years. When I reached Gandipet, I found people parking their cars almost 2 kms away from Gandipet walking to the reservoir. The traffic was jammed completely. Then, I canceled the plan of visiting Gandipet and turned back. Then thought why not visit Ananthagir Hills now, but as I entered the Gandipet from Gachibowli side, I cannot cross the gandipet to enter Ananthagiri Hills route. I decided to go to Shankarpalli and then to Chevella from there and join the regular Vikarabad road. After I crossed Shankarpalli, I took Chevalla route. After reaching half the distance I remembered the route which I saw in Google maps and turned left to a route which goes through villages. As soon as I turned left, I saw a sign board to Vikarabad – 27 kms. To my surprise, the roads were in good condition and as I pass through the villages found beautiful landscapes. It took me almost 2.5 hours to pass that 27 kms as I have stopped at numerous places to take pictures.

Reached Ananthagiri at 5:50 pm, sat there for 30 min in silence enjoying the lush green and lovely sunset. Returned back in our regular route when it was almost dark. The ride was not so enjoyable as the road was completely destroyed with eroded tar and lots of potholes at many places due to recent heavy rains.

@Ravi - Either you've tweaked the camera or this is not India. Man!!! what an awesome place? Is this even our own country?

For a moment it reminded me of some country side in Europe. Simply amazing & mind blowing pics. Tks for sharing.

@aargee, I have not tweaked the camera, the landscapes are real. I too was surprised to see such a beauty around Hyderabad. I traveled 27 km in 3 hours. I was completely mesmerized by the beauty. Some landscapes really reminded me of the countryside in Europe.

All the pictures were shot on the way to Ananthagiri. Only few of the clicks are from Ananthagiri and they will come soon. The route I traveled is different from the regular route.

Another set of pictures, which will follow the last set of pics (I have taken too many pictures and I am unable to discard many)
