  • [Photo Feature]: Siblings Day/Night out

It started over a cup of tea on 25th(Saturday evening) and we decided to test our endurance riding skills with a distance of 700kms to be covered in under 10 hours...

So 5 R15s and my R1 became the scrapegoats for this test, I was little skeptical about the ride considering the massive downpour in Bangalore the previous night and constant drizzle..

We had only 4 R15s with us, so we contacted(Uday Sir owner of Orion Motors to lend us an R15) and he was glad to give it away...

Did the prechecks on the bikes, lubed the chains, got geared up and started to Chennai at 2am on 26th...

Rains chased us all the way till Hosur and there after was dry tarmac, puny traffic and 160bhp to tap

Frankly I really enjoyed riding till dawn(6am) cause after that lot of people were crossing over inbetween the roads and not to mention the stray animals.., so we reached Chennai by 630am, had a cup of coffee and started back to Bangalore...

The ride back took time since I couldnt find premium fuel at certain IOC bunks(even though the signboard said they have it) and the sudden braking tests thrown upon you by people who just sneak out of the bushes on the divider on NH-46, made us reach back home at 10am...

Hmmm.. Nice stuff!! So the siblings refere to the Yamaha siblings
btw, who were the riders? xBhpians, BBians, or just friends?

Forget entering, you guys didn't even stop near Chennai!!
So much for testing endurance of the bikes & the bikers huh!!

I'm sure the ride must have been fun.

btw, seems like you're aiming for a saddlesore on the R1..
Aside, how physically daunting was it riding the R1 almost continuosly over such a long distance? I'm assuming this was your longest ride!

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

None of them were from xbhp or BB..

Saddlesore is on the cards, will keep you posted on this..

yup the longest since the Belgaum ride, actually it was mentally tiring and my eyes were wanting to close and it becomes even tougher to concentrate every single second on the road...

Don't ever close your eyes while riding!! Looking at your bike, people around anyway 'lose it'.. Don't cause them further danger
