ok here's from my side

Wanted to explore lonar craters, but ended with Just one long ride.

How it started -

Last month spidey had made a plan for 2 days lonar ride. I comfirmed him my presence. For some reason he drop this plan. So lonar was in my list of rides. On friday i logged in on FB, there was discussion going between biru & alankar of the same lonar ride for two days. Called biru for confirmation, took number of alankar & PM'ed him that i'll be tagging along him till pune & there will meet biru & devenpd & continue our further ride. Got reply of alankar within few minute that he cant come. Then i called motor & spidey if they could come with me as a pilloin. They also denied. I was thinking weather to go or not. Coz it was already midnight & i have to do mumbai-pune solo to meet biru for further ride. ' waise bhi do deen kuch kaam nahi hai and mumbai-pune road is familiar to me'. So called biru & told him about it & also decided our meeting point @ shikrapur phatta on pune-ahmednagar road & went to sleep, it was already 12 at night. Had a short nap till 1:30, woke up, took a bath, filled my tank bag with extra pair of clothes & some other necessary things & started the ride @ 2:00am.

The ride -

Within no time reach panvel, stopped there for refuelling & soon i was on pitch dark highway with high beams of trucks flashing in front of my eyes. I had lot of time to reach the meeting place so i was riding at steady pace & enjoying the cold breeze. After khopoli i have to cross lonavala ghat. tell you friends, climate was cold with little fog around but at that time of night with no vehicles on ghat it was little scary. Coz day before yesterday i was reading that haunted roads to avoid at night wala thread. I was thinking what will i do if i experience something like that here, ek kutta bhi nahi tha road par. I know it sounds funny but i was really scared. So reved my bike hard & reached on mumbai-pune expressway, aah got some relief with few vehicular movements on it. Stopped at lonavala at my regular chai stall for a break & messaged biru about it. At that time i was feeling little sleepy, so washed my face with chilled water & had a cup of tea followed by couple of suttas. As i started from lonavala, spotted one mahindra pickup riding at good speed. Then what, tailed him till talegaon phata ( road which connects old mumbai-pune highway with pune-ahmednagar highway ) it was around 4'o clock in morning. So took left from there for pune-nagar road. This was single lane road with full of heavy vehicles traffic. It took me one & half hour for riding this 52km distance of road to reach meeting point. Finally reached there at 5.30am & called biru, he was sleeping ( i came to know later by him ) and woke up from my call. So it took 1 hour to reach the meeting place. In between i took a short nap sitting on bike itself. They came at 6.30. Meet new xBhpian from pune devenpd. So it was me, biru & deven. Started around 7am for our next stop for ahmednagar. In between biru stopped once for some photography. Soon we reached ahmednagar & started enquiring about lonar from the people, it was amazing that no one knows about that place. The way biru asking one autowala - ' arrey woh aasman se bohut bada patthar gira dharti par aur waha bada khadda ho gaya hai,woh jagah' Lol. So googled the route on my cellphone, it shows from aurangabad. Biru was saying there is another road also. But choosed aurangabad wala road. Just before aurangabad we stopped & had short brief chat & decided that we will explore ajanta caves for today & have a night stay in aurangabad & will start our further journey towards lonar next day early morning & we will return from lonar from another route. Now it was time for breakfast, jo accha hotel ya dhaba dikhe waha rukte hai was decided & started the ride again. There was left turn for ellora, took that turn. Suddenly biru came from behind & stopped us saying, hume ajanta jaana hai ellora nahi. Oops i didnt know that, i thought dono baju-baju mein hai. So enquired about route for it & turned back. Refuelled in aurangabad & Soon we was out of city, peet mein chuhe koodh rahe the. It was around 11am when we stopped for breakfast, saw few missed calls from home, so gave a call. There comes one bad news. My grandma was not feeling well & had to take her to doctor next day.
Really got dissapointed with it,told biru about it. he said, ab itne door aaye hai toh ajanta dekh le phir wapas chale jana. Okies, had a breakfast, was about to start the ride one policewala called us & asked biru, where we going & from where we came, etc etc. we left the place around 12 noon. Ajanta was around 60-70 km from there. We was riding at good speed, although the road was not that good but we still managed to keep our pace. While riding i was thinking, from last night i didnt sleept well & i had to ride back also that too solo. Raaste mein neend aa gayi toh? So decided to skip ajanta too. Soon we reached at the entry gate of ajanta. Told biru that i am not coming inside. Biru too agreed with me & told me to go back & ride safely. So it was a good-bye to biru & deven. Jalgaon was 50km from there. So took a left for it & my return journey was started @ 1pm. As it was hot afternoon time, there was very less local vehicle & peoples on the road. Thank god, otherwise that single road which was in bad shape too could be much tiring thing to ride on it. So did a non stop ride till dhule & stopped there for refuelling again. I think the place where we refuelled in aurangabad was not good coz after just 250 km i have to refuel again at dhule which i didnt expected. Anyways so started from dhule, the road was awesome till nashik. Four lane highway. But the heat was killing me then. I was sweating inside my jacket like anything. Just after malegaon there was some relief. It started to drizzle, thanks it didnt rained much. But that rain had made the climate cool & i was enjoying riding in it. After i crossed nashik,stopped for much needed butt break at one of dhaba. Gulped whole 1ltr of bottle of water & from there did non stop till i reach home @ 8pm.

After reaching home, came to know that my grandma was sleeping & doctor advised her to take bed rest for a week.

Messaged biru about it & he replied that they are now at lonar having whiskey.

thanx rachit,,,, done 950km in 17hrs in this ride, leaving the waiting time for biru & deven. somethings cooking in my mind now . just wait & watch.
