          @ All

Thank you so...o much. It is indeed about speed and endurance! Speed in the sense not Top speed but maintaining a particular speed for a prolonged period of time. In my case it was 105 kmph.

                            Congratulations man !
A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

Wonderful ride there Senthil and you're already big time in the media

See this link to the 8th Oct Hindu

The Hindu : Life & Style / Metroplus : Riding high!

I don't know if you people are aware that an American named Mark Kiecker has also done a SS1000 in India on an R15.

He was also the youngest rider to complete an Iron Butt Rally (an event held every two years which entails riding 11000 miles in 11 days or in other words 11 consecutive SS1000 rides ). In 2001, Mark completed the rally at age 25 riding a Honda VFR800. Take a look at the records of riders who have competed in and won or completed the Iron Butt Association Rally. Note the miles covered, the days used in doing so and in cases the age of the rider doing it all. Amazing.

                                Iron Butt Finishers and Records

Senthil: your ride is also being discussed pretty animatedly on the Iron Butt forum. Most thought that you did it on an FZ-6 or the FZ-1 and were still impressed. Its was Mark who corrected them that you'd done it on a 153cc FZ-16. And I reproduce below what he says about such a ride here in India:

No offense meant, but SS's in western parts of the world are child's play to those in less developed areas. I tip my hat to anyone that successfully completes an Indian SS.
You, and others who have performed this feat before you, have done us all proud.

                                Ride long and safe...
