This was really funny.Originally posted by beruoist View PostAfter 2-3 hours of good sleep,i woke and first thing i did was to call my manager to tell him i am very sick today and will not be able to make it to the office. He laughed at my excuse and said 'OK,have fun'.

But sad to see no bike pics

Finally the log is up. We are all bikers. Hence no problems about minors. This is probably the only country where people get into the water fully clothed whereas swimsuits were introduced to the world as beachwear in 1946 (Bikini invented incidentally by an Automotive engineer!) and to India in 1966 and is close to a Billion Dollar industry annually in the US alone!
You said that OM beach is close to Panjim. Which way, up North or down South?
Pune to Goa... how many kilometres would that be?The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

Hi Biru. You have posted some really good photos. I am planning to goto Goa by my bike with my friend on the night of 23rd Dec. andhope to reach there on the morning of 24th morning. If you could just tell me, where I can take the halts during my journey and how is the condition of the ghats at Poladpur and Chiplun, that would be great. Also, how long you took to reach Poladpur? Hope you do reply, as I really need some advice on that matter. Thanks buddy.Originally posted by beruoist View PostThis trip happened on 1,2,3 Oct.Where i went GOA to attend a G2G with my college friends.

Thanks Ranveer, I am assuming you will be riding from Mumbai.Originally posted by shera_ranveer View PostHi Biru. You have posted some really good photos. If riding in day time NH17 is recommended.Mumbai to Goa can be easily covered in 1 day.Post your query about ghat conditions in Mumbai thread..as mumbai fellas recently travelled on that route.i think it should be on Ok Ok condition..not too bad.
Well it should take around 4 hours.
In case you are travelling from Pune then take NH4(pune - bangy highway) till Sankeshwar, take exit from Sankeswar - Ajara - Amboli Ghats - Sawantwadi(NH17).From here panjim is around 60 kms.

Hey there.Originally posted by shera_ranveer View PostHi Biru. You have posted some really good photos. I traveled from Malwan to Mumbai a month back & trust me, NH17 is at its worst.
Only good stretch I found was near Chiplun.
Considering -
1. Bad condition of NH17 (I wonder if it can be NH)
2. Your night travel plan,
I would recommend you NH4 any day.
You can take the same route as Biru & co took.
Also, if possible have a GPS with you.
Because Sankeshwar->Ajra->Sawantwadi is a state highway.
And early in the morning, I don't think you will find anybody to guide you there.
If not GPS, carry most detailed map of the region.
Best luck.

this is fun ! what all you did and reading it too....the pictures are fabulous!
im not a person who'll read anything...the log you have written is short and sweet...always keep it that way....the details we'll hear it from you on some ride !
A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)
