Since Nov 1st is a holiday on account of Karnataka Rajyotsava I reckon we ride to Coorg for an overnight stay during the last weekend of this month (30th - 31st Oct ; Sat - Sun).
Plan is to leave on 30th Oct (Saturday). We should leave as early as possible (4am is what i am thinking of) so we reach Coorg before noon.
We can stay overnight at the homestay which i have in mind and return the next day (Oct 31st; Sunday) leisurely.
The homestay charges 3k per couple (1.5k per person) all inclusive of meals, breakfast etc.
To book the homestay i need confirmations.
As of now the confirmed members are:
1. Harshit.d
2. microsoft guy
3. n_aditya
4. Strider (only riding with us. Wont be staying overnight)
Tentative as per my conversations are :
1. Alok
2. Ark (Reggie)
3. tibby
4. scorcher
5. johnblr
The place of stay (The Nest) is in Gonikoppal (35 kms from Madikeri). Lush green paddy fields surround the homestay and its very peaceful and quiet. I had been here a month back and absolutely loved it.
Anymore people want to join us please confirm at the earliest. There are only 4 rooms available which can house max 3 people in each room (we need to request for an extra person in each room as only 2 can be accommodated).
Since we are planning this over a long weekend, its better we make reservations/booking latest by this Saturday (23rd Oct) so we don't run the risk of unavailability of rooms.
Kindly confirm by tomorrow, Friday 22nd Oct, so I can make the booking by Saturday. I shall sms my account no. to those who confirm so they can transfer funds for the room tariff.
P.S. dear mod's - creating a separate thread for visibility so it doesnt get lost in the regular G2G thread/posts. We will post the log and pics on this thread itself. Please approve.
