A small question-Generally Sep end-October are dry months and even in Himalayas you generally don't see any rain.But it seems that most of the southern hill stations are getting a regular dose of rain and fog.Is this a natural phenomenon?Also normally which are the dry months in a place like Munnar?

In kerala it starts raining from July and rains till September or even October.The locals did mention that rainfall was comparatively less for the year.Best time to visit munnar would be in December when it is foggy and misty.The rainy season is when the view is spectacular as the green just gets better and with slight drizzling all the way...it doesn't get better than this.

@kiran and ravi...Regarding the leeches.I realized I was bitten when I found my Jean to be all Bloody and by this time I could not find the leach.Ke ke was bitten by a leach which he promptly burnt with his exhaust pipe.I must have noticed the bite after an hr and it was bleeding for close to an hour and a half.No Pain however the bite mark still itches and has been almost a month

So that means most of the hill stations down south gets rain till the end of October.In Dec you will find only fist and fog.Right?

@MG - suicide point is a local name -As the Valley here is very deep, dense and dangerous this place was once known as “suicide point".

@ Rocky - please go ahead and plan a trip to Munnar... you will not regrett it.
