Yeah that route is gorgeous. I am originally from calicut, so I know the bandipur route like the palm of my hand (Wyanad is always mesmerizing) and if time permits I may do that route. I was supposed to do that Ekm-Clt-Blr route but since I was in a hurry I took the salem GQ route and did Ekm-Blr distance of 540kms in lil less than 9 hours incl breaks for b/fast, lunch & fuel. Max I touched was about 170kph and enjoyed the ride esp those fast ascending bends near mettur where a crazy innova was trying to catch up to me and he miraculosly escaped ploughing into a truck after loosing control.

You are so right about the beauty of Kerala. I,ve been riding/driving mostly in Goa. Karwar, Mangalore etc. Planned to ride to Kerala this time to really check out the sights, especially the Kottayam, Alleppy, Kollam area. Plus I have cousins at Paravoor and Trivandrum. Will be just passing your place Ponnani on NH17.
