Coming via NH-17 you have more number of kms to cover and since the road is not four laned so you will take much longer time. The best and fastest is via NH-4.Originally posted by aargee View Post

Though the work is in progress, the condition of road was excellent & I could keep upto 80+ Kmph (by car) on most of the places around 11ish in the morning on a weekday. Needless to say a motorcycle can fair better?Originally posted by MG_Biker1806 View PostComing via NH-17 you have more number of kms to cover and since the road is not four laned so you will take much longer time. 80 at most of the places is fine. But don't forget that NH-17 is always twisty i.e you are scaling ghats and being a 2lane it takes some time to overtake when are stuck behind a series of vehicles which is not so in NH-4. There are sections where you literally can close your eyes and ride for 5odd minutes. If say you have to ride 500odd kms on both sections simultaneously then the difference will be atleast an hour and half.Originally posted by aargee View PostThough the work is in progress, the condition of road was excellent & I could keep upto 80+ Kmph (by car) on most of the places around 11ish in the morning on a weekday. P.S: All said and done I might take NH-17 while going back just for the pure riding pleasure

That's the point LolOriginally posted by MG_Biker1806 View PostP.S: All said and done I might take NH-17 while going back just for the pure riding pleasure
!!!
Frankly speaking, I'd like to take NH only when I'm little tired to drive. Otherwise, nothing beats the pleasure of well maintained, excellent condition, state highways with trees on both the sides & curvy roads

Hyderabad to Munnar is around 1000km!!! Ok, compared to you its less. But lets see how many will come. Lets invite them as special inviteesOriginally posted by kochumvk View Post....
Thanks bro!, I wanted to make it a bit different. But tri state will be an inappropriate thing. Why not interstate? Try to invite some riders from Hyderabad as well.....

Guys
Just a thought, not sure if ppl will agree... Can somebody do a writeup on this ride (On the number of people participating, route taken by different teams and so on) and we can send it to few corporates if they would be interested in doing sponsorship....maybe they use this ride to promote their product with the bikers.
Just a thought - Pls dont mindNever Give up on something that you can't go a day without thinking about.
Cheers

Well...I bet no corporate would consider their sponsorship when it comes to a huge group of riders as it is easy to get lost on the their promotion if not taken care well. Also, we don't want to stand in front of any shop trying to promote products in Munnar, do we?Originally posted by rameshmadhavan View Postsponsorship....maybe they use this ride to promote their product with the bikers.
We can do a sponsorship ride, but lets not combine it with TSG2G, which to me is an annual xBhp bikers festival

you said it!! As agree has suggested it, lets keep it(sponsoring) for some other time!! May be a Leh or Bhutan or Nepal or Tawang ride!! And the numbers(of riders) will be less in those cases!!!Originally posted by rameshmadhavan View Post.....

Ramesh, your suggestion is welcome however, it would not suite this annual ride. Reason? This is purely a biker's ride and their passion.Originally posted by rameshmadhavan View PostOk got ur point, maybe we can ask them to sponsor T Shirts with the Tsg2g logo and their product also...

+1Originally posted by lijok View Post^^ +1. Not now sir.
And I wouldnt mind wearing a tee, or even full assortment of gear with ads all over, for a sponsor in my upcoming All India ride. But this one, let it be a private event of us xbhpians.
This meet up is an exclusively to xbhp and for biking brotherhood.
