Was an absolute shocker. It was peacefully grazing by the roadside and i told Megan not to honk and stop his engine.By the time anirban also passed the elephants,Megan started his engine. The elephants got irritated and started charging.Had it come a good 10 steps i would in garlands by today.Behind me were some 15 cars and 5-6 bikes. But was fun

With such a comedy of errors and more We, the "FAST" group made history today... We reached 4.5 Hours after our slow group.ROFL!
I started with the fast group at 7.15. Was waiting for the group to catch up at Bodi Metu checkpost as decided. After a wait of 50 mins(I had breakfast by then and couple of cups of chaaiya) I saw just 3 riders from the fast group pass by. On enquiring got to know that the fast group is split, rode with them till Theni and reached home at 4.30.

All in all, an awesome and adventurous ride for the some of us!

This is the second time the elephants are chasing us bikers. Last time it was Rahul and Scorcher.

I hope its not lucky the next time. Keep the revv's low and avoid honking, you should be able to pass without issues.

P.S. Who won the running-riding race? The joel'd R15 or the elephant?

                • The two old bandicoots ( Ravi and I ) made it safely back at 3 pm today after halting at Salem last night.

The ride through to Udumalpettai via the Chinnar Sanctuary was bone jarring on the Ninjas, though the series of chicanes and switchbacks were a lot of fun. After getting roasted in the sun via Tirupur, we were surprised to see Praful and a bunch of Bangalore riders at Salem at 5.30pm, though they had left Munnar 3 hours earlier!

The ride this morning was uneventful but fast! Salem to Ambur -175kms in about 2 hours!

Had a great time and am looking forward to riding with you all again! Will carry the amazing memory of the early morning ride to Top Station and the ride back in the evening with me for the rest of my life.

                  Cheers!

We got back at 4 pm after leaving Munnar at 6:40 ..
Goat was the lead and I was the sweep .. we were joined in between by a stray RX100 who wanted to race with us and was going around me in circles while I was cruising at around 100, the idiots you find on the roads these days ..
Later, Goat unintentionally ran his bike over a coconut shell which whizzed past my helmet just over my right shoulder ..
other than that I guess the ride was quiet and uneventful ..
We caught up with the early fast group at A2B where we had met the Blore group in the first place, the yellow karizma dude, the blore Ninja dude, the fair red R15 dude, the Bullet dude, and Joe Rocket MH number plate dude, pardon me but this is how my memory works .. not good with names ..
A much needed break later we were on our way and got back at 4..
This was my first ride in the hills and with xbhp .. I thank everyone for making it memorable .. The only bad thing being that I am itching to go back there again right now ..

We started at 7 am at thrissur & I rode solo till palakad & waited for sri & padmanaban to come. We had breakfast at palakad at 9 & started at 1020 as we had to wait for Padmanaban's bike to clear out some issues. Then I started to Coimby & had a break before Avinashi waiting for Padmanaban.

While break The 4 police people came & checked our bike papers & asked Are we terrorists wearing weird jackets & gloves? Then we started again & I rode solo till salem & b4 salem there was a Road block on the NH & We were vexed to go Erode & catchup the salem. While We reached salem It was 3pm. Damn Erode traffic & Police checks. After our so called lunch at a bakery in salem, I decided to split from Sri & Padhu. Cranked my Kwacker at 4 pm from salem & I was at ranipet for a break at 550 hrs & reached home safely at 745 pm.
