    Sight-seeing

I am gathering a lot of info about where I can visit during the tour, I'd like suggestions so I can decide on how much time I can spend at each destination.
Also, please keep in mind that I've decided on making this an open ended tour, not particular on making it back in time or anything.

Calling it an 'inter-seasonal' tour now. Gone in summer will be back in the monsoons.

I'll be more than happy to share my experiences or suggestions with you -send me a pm and we'll talk after exchanging phone numbers.

But honestly I would question the timing of this trip - the May heat will be more than what you bargained for. Riding gear only makes it worse, and one runs a high risk of dehydration. If I were you, I'd take a train/plane down to the places you need to go(for now), and do my solo trip post October.

Its not that I haven't thought these things through. I know its foolhardy of me to do this, but I guess it is symbolic or something along those lines for me to do it, its like I need this ride. And for this reason, unless something rather drastic happens, I will go through with the ride this May. A couple of my friends don't think I'll make it back in one piece.

I'll PM you, and we can have a chat this weekend. Thank you for your offer.

I was supposed to leave on my first solo tour today or tomorrow. Because of untimely postponements of certain things that were supposed to be done by now, I wouldn't be able to go till second week of May, which would push everything into the last week of June which makes things even more complicated. I thank everyone for their contribution to the thread. I even spoke to a few members who offered to help me. Their advice was invaluable. I am just looking forward to a window of time where I'd be able to play my part in this adventure I so wish to get on the road. I request the mods to please lock this thread. Thank you.
