Thanks Knighty yeah it was some effort and has always been to ride to Jalori Pass. And this time I think we met his younger or elder brother it was Jai Prakash for the food

As I already shared with you two, I was feeling like Marc Coma cruising on his KTM in the offroad stage of the DAKAR 2011. That was insane...

Only that wasn't enough. I tried to catch up with Rakesh and in one of the such attempts I found myself leaning at the edge of the cliff and it was scary. However, it worked as an catalyst and increased the adrenaline flow in my veins (instead of slowing it).

I was doing somewhere in between 60 - 70 and thought that it was bad. When me, Shiv and Rakesh halted at one place to wait for others, I came to know to my surprise that both of them were in the range above mine...

But guys! let me explain that I've done it only when I knew that I can else I would have never done it..
Yeah you did it coz you knew that you can do it brother and you did very well, keep it up bro. That stretch was complete fun man and I loved it brother. I cannot forget the words you used to express your feeling when we stopped at the intersection waiting for BI and Rachit

That stretch was amazing where road was a non existent term.

Well, i was the slowest of the group and arrived last along-with Rachit. But the fun was unparalleled. The dynamic ever changing vistas, with hills on one side and the satluj on the other giving way to villages that we traversed and again in a fraction of time, the hills greet us again. The transformation was amazing.

      Really enjoyed the trip.

Thanks DK, Prince and Sau! Glad you liked it.

      Cheers!!!

Thank You all for liking the logs.

About that particular stretch what I thought was me and BI were doing decent pace considering the road but when there was no sign of people ahead of us I was thinking that how the hell did they manage that kind of pace. That stretch was quite scenic too.

I will post the 4th day log tonight.

Thanks for the kind word guys. It is these words that keep the motivation and spirits high for the people in this forum.

        Thank You

Ok Guys Sorry for Posting the 4th Day so late!! Was caught up in few things.

Well first there is not much to write for the fourth day as everybody was kind of sad and some worried too. Sad because nobody wanted to leave the beauty and fun we had in the last 3 days and head to Gurgaon. Worried because we had a long day of riding ahead and some of us were already feeling the pains in our body. Anyways after having a nice and filling breakfast and with heavy heart we started for our journey back home at around 9.30 in the morning. The weather was cloudy and we were expecting some rains.

From Naldera to Shimla traffic is very less and roads are good, but still we started slow trying to bring our rhythm back.

View of what we were going to miss:

Long sweeping turns waiting for high leans:

We reached Shimla in no time and thankfully didnt encounter much traffic in Shimla.

          The Shimla Tunnel:

          Some Pics of Shimla:

          Shimla Railway Station:

From Shimla we tried to pick our pace slightly. Earlier the roads were wet so I was slow but after that we found dry, wide and less traffic filled stretch and I went for it. I knew this is going to be the last fun part of this trip hence I started enjoying. Rakesh was leading and I was behind him. Seeing my increase in pace Rakesh also obliged and increased his pace. BI was following me and as throught this trip no matter what I did he was always on my tail. I am sure MJ and Shiv would also have loved the pace at this stretch.

But our happiness or ateast mine was shortlived because we encountered rains and with the kind of confidence my tyres were giving we were back to crawling speeds. We reached Solan. Got our bikes refuelled. My Chain had become very loose. I got it tightened and thankfully disovered there was puncture in my rear tyre and got it fixed too.

          Pit Stop at Solan:

From Solan onwards till Dharampur the rain was heavier and our pace was slow. Dharampur was sunny. We started our descend slowly. By this time our backsides had started giving up.

          Some Photos on the way:

Finally we stopped at Timber Trail and took our Final Hills Break as now boring highways were ahead.

We finally reached Zirakpur around 3. We stopped at the first Dhaba we saw and had lunch took some rest and told our hearts to have some energy as we had 250 Km only left. From there the journey was simple. Try to keep moving forward, stay together and maintain a healthy but safe pace of around 90 Km/Hr. But our bodies used to give up after around an hour of riding and hence we needed break. After Karnal it was starting to get dark. I was having visibility problems as My helmets Visor was dark and it had scratches too. So oncoming headlight was a big problem and I used to go completely blind. I tried to ride with visor open but the amount of insects in air was so much that I almost got blinded by one eye so decided against it. These highways generally have bushes on the divider to block the opposite sides traffic headlights. Wherever there were bushes I was comfortable and wherever they were not I was in trouble. When I reached panipat I knew becuase of the presence of streetlights I will have less visibility issues hence I tried to push was much as I can makeup for lost time. FInally we stopped at murthal and I told everybody of my problem hence everybody decided to stick together. From then it was just battle of the nerves. Finally we enetered Delhi at around 8.30. We stopped at Sarai Kale Khan bus stand and bid Rakesh Good Bye. We were very happy to finally reach back.

To me the Highest Point of this Trip was everybody reached back in the same shape we went. That was the most amazing part of this trip and to me this thing make this trip successful.

          Thank You GUys for Reading.

To all the participants it was an absolute pleasure and honor to ride with you guys and I am already dreaming about the next one.

          CHEERS!!

Read the whole log again and now I'm all the more confused about where to head for my next trip.

Seriously speaking, a wonderfully written log. Special appreciation to the ladies, riding pillion isn't easy at all, boredom does tend to set in. Also to the riders who managed to tackle the bad road conditions while carrying the additional load of the pillions too.
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.
