Kashif: pm smoker_n_doper(xbhp) or aashish srivastava(fb)...he too was looking for riding partner for a leh trip.

I told Ashish about Kashif a long long time back.. I guess its high time they find each other .

right now we are three planning to ride together, nevertheless any sensible rider is welcome to join.

I'll be posting the exact dates and route in a few days.

aashish is an experienced, good and safe rider...
he is good as a person too.

Day 2 : Aritsar - Jammu is just about 4 hours. Try to ride till Srinagar (Or atleast till Anantnag) and relax in Srinagar the next day!

Day 3 : If need be, Stay at Sonamarg instead of Sringar

Day 5 : Lamayuru comes after Kargil and just before Leh.

Its Nubra Valley

Day 7: Make sure this day is not a weekend, If so you need to wait to get the permits (Available only on weekdays)

Day 8 : Leh - Khardung La - Diskit (Get loads of petrol from Leh itself)
*Petrol available in black (poor quality) in Diskit, But may not be available always

Day 9: Turtuk may not be feasible if you go solo, Check with Beuroist on how to tackle the J & K guys.

Day 10: Turtuk - Leh? very difficult. You would be worn out by time you reach Khardung. Try to stay in Panamic and visit the places in & around Nubra Valley

Day 11 : Nubra - Leh, Try if Wari La is open (Nubra - Agham - Wari La - Sakti) (Petrol available in Sakti)

Day 12 : Leh / sakti - Pangong

Day 13: Pangong - M'La - Pangong - Spangmik took me 8 hours. And i rode without much breaks.

You can try Pangong - Tantse - Erath - Chusul, But Adding M'la would be tiring.

Day 15: Karzok - Pang and Sarchu would be difficult.

Day 16: You dont need to hit manali, 50 kilometers after Keylong, You can take the deviation at Gramphoo towards Spiti Valley.

Am planning to cover a very similar route but will be leaving on 21st of May. I don't have a confirmed return date but I guess the trip will stretch for about a month. Am going solo and would love to meetup anyone on the way!

As suggested by others, even i would say - aashish shrivastav. Good fellow xBhpian for this ride. koi nakhra nahi. Though i didnt have any bike rides with him & also not meet him in person. but, he will be very good company for sure.

But as many of you might be knowing the time which i am going through is not so good. Still i am happy that God is making everything back to normal again.
So i doubt that i can accompany him this year because my sister would be coming to lucknow for a month or so and i am surely gonna spend time with her ..
No doubt i will also visit K-Top and get Leh'ed sooner than soon and fulfill my Dream
