  • Ride De Rajasthan: trying to discover Rajasthan

It is always good to plan things and execute those plans. But some times it is not always a sweet dish for you. Me and my friend were planning a ride to Salasar temple in Rajasthan. Professional life dosent allow friends to get out together. But finally we made it but missed few more biker buddies just of professional life we are living. It was Friday, 24 sept 2010, 15:35hrs my friend blows mighty horn out side my house. i was peeking out of window his black pulsar was shining in sun light looking damn sexy. We changed up like a fighter pilot does while going for a fly, all geared up we moved. My mother was surprised because i was not taking my bike with me. 15:55hrs we touched NH-8 3kms away from my house. A good weather, partially cloudy, sun was playing hide and seek making it a perfect time to ride. Breeze making as feel better and highway fun helping us roll on quickly.

At Kotputli we turned towards Sikar Distric, via NeekkaThana a small town. Road condition was okay with some surprises kept for us. enjoying the Aravali vista we were going smooth. some times it frustrated us as it was delaying us, and we were lagging behind the time we planned. Neem ka Thana is a small town with typical indian community residing, humors people. We stopped to have some thing for our tummies. After a small break we moved out to our dinner destination Sikar city.

We reached Sikar in moon light, welcomed by some maniac show off local bikers ohh!!! sorry... commuters. showing there us that they too can drive in style we were no match to them, so we kept on watching them doing funny and foolish act on road. We stopped by a restaurant, till this time 4:25 hours of ride was completed. Our bumps were bad, thanks to the cozy seat of restaurant, we moved out with happy bumps. But more has to come. We were unaware of the route, but this is what bikers do "EXPLORE" the unknown. HN-11 welcomed us with grace, a sweet smooth road helping us to reach our destination. Laxmangarh was our way point, turn left from there to add fun to our ride. Bad road slowed us down and this 31 kms section took us 1 hour to clear out. finally we were in Salasar, a peaceful place to be in. parked the bike n went to our rooms.

When the uncle ji on reception asked us our address his eyes popped out, he said "are you guys are crazy". We were answer less hence we both smiled and moved to our rooms.
It was 04:00 hrs alarm woke me, 04:30hrs we were inside the temple, head priest were preparing for the morning aarti. Salasar temple is crafted and decorated with silver and gold. Main gates are of silver, while the darbar is coated in gold with classic craft work done over it. The main temple body is covered in Silver metal with Hanuman ji all over it. Our souls were cleaned up by the environment there. This temple has a babool tree over which birds use to sit and its the only tree inside temple campus which is covered with birds. As per the locals the birds are enchanting "jai shri ram" with hanuman ji. Resting under that tree was very peaceful, we felt like we were touched by nature.

06:13hrs we packed our backs and headed towards next destination on card Jaipur. 185 kms from Salasar a nice highway ride, it was 10:00hrs and we were in jaipur fighting with the traffic straight to restaurant. Had our breakfast, the aalo parathas and curd. our plan was to clear the city by 11:00hrs, but traffic was too heavy and we were moving like snail. some how we managed to get out of the city traffic by 11:30 hrs, destination was Amer palace, but a bit of change in plan as we still have time to check out the biggest cannon JAIWAN.
Built in 1720, weighing 50 tons, 20 feet long and ranges 22 miles. it was never used just tested fired once. We leak out and headed to Amer this time, the hill road reminded me of my Badrinath trip. The best sound in world my foot peg scratching the road. I love that moment each turn makes me push hard to do it again and again. i thanked the hill for making my ride a fun ride just for 5kms. But that was enough for me to get back into memories of my longest ride.

Amer palace is beautifully crafted and is a piece of art. I was pumped up, curious to check out what it is hiding, with quick steps i checked up the whole palace in just one hour. It was 13:30 hrs and we were called up by parents. We never wanted to get back to our homes, but parents are parents. So hitting National Highway 8 was the only option we had, Bad bumps striving hard to manage them self on the bike, but we have to ride, 16:16hrs the ride finally ended. A 800kms hustle ended in just 24 hours. Lots of experiences gained, new things learnt, new place explored, met new faces, had a real good time. An attempt to check out Rajasthan was was partially successful as Rajasthan is Huge you need time to get an over view if it. And to i am planning to travell india, it will take my whole life to scroll over my beautiful nation. Its Really Huge and Wonderful.

nice log... but a proper formatting with the story divided into subheadings with the concerned pics followed by the particular parts would have made it better...

Han ji bhai sikar road was good except a few streches, and few surprises by cows. Surrounding were amazingly beautiful but my camera +me was not good enough to capture the beauties.

Shortage of time as usual cost me poor pics, i am working on things might come up with some new ideas next time around.
Ya it was HOT for obvious reasons:
