I take your advice seriously(about not riding in the rainy season)... didnt i mention that im still planning?
I dont care if its a fame game for people or not... i just wanna do it and ill do it, i wont really bother if some random guy wants to say im doing it for attention... you dont know me(here you doesnt mean you,its just in general)
Not sure about Hyd, you can still expect some rains during Aug in Bangalore. Rain is unpredictable between May-Dec. I follow many weather sites and many times they are wrong

However, that should not be a major stopping factor. This weekend I was riding in rains for almost 6-7 hrs, but was with proper rain gear.

Preparing for you SS100 or BB1500

Hey Guys.. in past few months i have seen number of people trying there hand on SS1000 and also we had a few legendary personality doing BB 1500.. and along with that i came across a various mix of people waiting with there ideas of completing at least SS1000 on there bikes, mopeds , and obviously sports bike. And with higher cc bikes coming cheap in market there ambition to competed BB1500 or something apart from SS1000 is getting nurtured down there minds..

So though of having a thread where all the disscuison about IBA can be done. and professional along with people with multiple SS1000 successful/failed attempts can be disscused. People waiting to get some guidance can find it at one place instead of browsing all the thread of IBA stories to note the do's and dont's can get it at one place. have a thread discussion your IBA story is definitely a part of you experience. But with this thread i wish to enlighten people like me who have a ambition of completing SS or some IBA ride some time down the line
Patience is something you admire in the driver behind you and scorn in the one ahead..

@Mods thanx for making this thread sticky..

Some of my friends and I have been thinking of doing a ss1000 right from the time we read Ketanr15's log. But for some or the other reason we couldn't go through. I have been asking people for directions itinerary and advice.

My first question has anyone from Delhi or Chandigarh completed this a saddlesore or a bun burner?

Secondly, what would be the best route to try this starting from Chandigarh?

Dude I would Like to mention a few things for preparation.
                  1. Buy all the stuff, gears that you will be using during main ride and get used to it.
                  2. Go for at least 2 1000+ KMs ride before actually attempting SS with all the stuff packed on bike and follow all SS guidelines. .
                  3. Start work out and focus mainly on Cardio. Believe me the best thing that will help you is fitness of Rider and Ride.
Where There is a will, There is a Highway.

May not make much sense to every1 but staying fit and being in good health does help. You concentrate better and endurance levels go up.

I can understand in terms of staying fit, exercise, concentration & endurance, all I want to understand is how Cardio fits in here unless we talk about bicycle for SS
