Bike did cause some problems but I fared pretty well. Interestingly it was my 1st trip to this heavenly place.

Dream comes true

Eyes were sour enough by now. They have become aversive to the images that flashes on the screen.They wanted to experience it in real serene perspective.
Heart ached at every beat. Sometimes it skipped a beat or two and all the other times it behaves erraticly.
Mind tired of consoling eyes and heart decided a move which eventually put soothing balm on all the insipid moments that eyes and heart have to go through.
Now Eyes fresh with the brightness of an infant and glint which used to lurk earlier is vanished in that single moment.Moment which has come after a wait that is no longer than eternity.
Now heart hymns all the time and is at peace like never before. So this is it.
One move has changed so many thing.
I dont know when I fell in love with Mountains, but it did happen at some point of time which I am still unable to recall. But as they say "everything happens for Good" I take pride in savouring whatever has been put on my platter.

Journey Begans!!
As soon as I landed in Noida, mind started playing its own game with questions like "How" "What" "Why" "when".
How: It has to be on bike and not by any other means. I started asking my friends about their intentions for leh-ladhak. I knew the answer from beginning and it got their stamp once I told them about bike,us and leh. That's it. Done. Silently I decided to do it solo without any sad moment.

What: I had an idea about what all things one needs to carry for this life-altering trip.I started acccumulating things, things that would matter most in dire moments one is likely to encounter in this epic journey. I got basic things such as pump, knee,elbow-guards,saddle, Rain gear,clutch and accelerator wire and all the necessary medicines including diamox.etc

Why:---------------------------------------.(Who can answer it?)

when : It has to be in early June to avoid rush and rains.Thus the wait begins for June.

10th June.
Friday(like never before):
I had planned to stay at my friends place but something happened due to which he had to leave chandigarh in the afternoon itself. Then I made certain other arrangements and stayed at friend's friend place :P

Indirapuram-Chandigarh
Nothing much to write, ride in plains and that too in June is always a torture that one has to go through to reach the God's Land. Reached there by 10 and after some chit-chat crashed on to bed by 12:30.

11th June Chandigarh-Manali
Wake up at 8 and was on the road by 9. I was excited for sure since I was one day away from my dream-land. I reached Manali by 7 and thus becomes the search for the all elusive
room to rest my butt.My first time in Manali and the sight sure was ghastly(although on my return I had an experience which was even more horrible) All I saw was swarm of people all from plains trying hard to obtain their piece of respite from the searing heat of plains.
Anyhow one gentleman helped me out and suggested a guest House in OLD-manali which was a good enough for the meagre sum of Rs.400. Slept at 11 after some Royal moments :P.

Tomorrow begins the real journey.

Congrats on the achievement, you sure displayed lot of deggedness in getting off the virtual world and tackling it in reality, and going solo makes it all the more commendable

@Rahul. i made it finally. From Delhi --> Manali --> Pathankot -->srinagar-->Leh-->Manali--> Delhi in 14 days. Leh to Manali was the most beautiful of all.By the way,thanks for the Bungee cords and loads of confidence boost.They came in handy.
