Great ride Ken. Loved the bits about how hard it was. This seems like a wonderful place to bike around

It is very interesting that you did not use octane boosters and get pinging.

Great write up Ken. You seem to pass by Jaipur quite a number of times. I am in Jaipur. Please let me know, whenever next time you will be here. I will be happy to meet you.

Yes, it is arguably one of the best places to bike around up North. Come around next time and I will give you a quick look-in and it will serve as the proverbial shot in the arm!

truly an endurance ride, if i may say.

great read, and i'm sure that such "alone" rides once in a while make all the difference, when it comes to taking a break from the hustle-bustle of the daily schedules of life. have thought of riding solo many a time, but can never make myself do it...strangely!

i havent ridden an R1 long enough to understand the aches it can cause to your body during long, uninterrupted rides. however, i do feel that this loss of a sensation on your fingers is something which can be looked into, and maybe after certain exercise routines, you'll do just a little bit better during long rides. but again, there is always the fazer option to substitute workouts for the body.

shall look forward to many more trip-logs from you.

Endurance riding is the word for it but I thoroughly enjoy it. It takes a little bit of self-convincing and you are out alone on the open road...

The Fazer option looks "Enticing" provided it is available legally! I am beginning to be attracted by the new VMax!

                hey Ken da!

felt really gr88 to see those videos from the bikaner section! Reminded me of my ride to rajasthan on the zma express!! The deserted stretches of road are truly a delight for all bikers.

Those are really delightful roads. I keep longing to go there and keep riding forever. I even enjoy with a cage over there. There are few roads in North India which are maintained as well over such long distances with so little traffic! I am not aware of the South though.

I am not at the right experience level to actually answer this loss of sensation thing, but still wud like to share that..evn my fingers go numb even on short rides and initially i thought gloves shall help and they certainly do...but what helps the most is contracting and releasing your hand even for few times every 15 mins helps alot.....i personally never had numb fingers after i started doing it...so whenever i release the throttle when needed i release my hand and do this exercise.

I do this exercise now regularly with both hands even on short rides. It helps. Else it keeps getting worse.

I do come to Calcutta; rarely though. Last time was exactly a year ago for a family g2g. And I had a small crash with a friend's Pulsar while moving around town with Simba!
