Thanks for your comment. Will post some more pics and also the log of last 2 days. Even though we tried to capture those beautiful places in our cam but one needs to be there and see from one's own eyes that how beautiful those places are.
The mileage that I was getting during the whole trip was in the range of 44-46kmpl. Which also included lot of hill riding and 80kms of the worst road that I have ever ridden on, more on that later. On a smooth highway and straight highway would have got more, but it would have given more mileage but less fun. Riding in hills is non-comparable.

I have posted a small video of the exhaust in RTR180 ownership thread.

                    @Abhii46
Wow bro, after going through all the pics and the detailed write up, felt i was there too Didn't knew you had this much passion for touring. Btw, your ride looks amazing with that golden alloy wheels and that stubby FFE.

Happy that the three of you completed the whole trip, Safe and Sound.
The Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.

I enjoy touring a lot. In June I went to Coorg, In feb I went to Tirupathi and in feb Shakumbhari Devi also. Will do atleast two more trips this year. But waiting for a bigger one( Leh ), maybe next year.

The best part of the trip was that we completed it safe and sound.

Very nice trip bro. Munnar is THE place in South India. The place where you ride through the clouds is a different feeling indeed! The first time I got totally blown away.

Yesterday evening, when I took my bike out from the company parking lot, I saw a very nice looking white Apache with a FFE right next to my bike. Your bike also resembled the same and lo! I see the SAP Hotel picture to realise we are in the same office! Good to know that another xBHPian from the same office. We should meet up sometime.

And btw, doesn't rain water go into the exhaust when it is so small, low and widely open to the sky?

                            Day 6:

We had a very tiring day 5, covering 450kms and not even 1 hour of rest. We had been driving for most part of the day and with little food. Finally reached Thanjavur at 12am, stayed nearby New Bus Stand, we had visited NBS several times, because this was the place from where we used to take bus whenever we used to go to Thanjavur city from our college. Seeing that place after 3 years was nostalgic. All the restaurants were closed so we had to buy bread, chips and Slice for dinner, Girish already had midway in the trip.
We got up around 7:30 in the morning, had tea and after taking bath we headed towards our college. We had hardly thought that we would ever come her again. It was nice feeling to drive on the same road on which we used to travel a lot by bus. I can still picture out those memories in my brain. The road was reconstructed, from 2 lane highway it was turned into a butter smooth 4 lane highway with proper divider in between. We wanted to had our fav kottu parantha but shops were closed, but still we had egg puff.
We took few pics of the college.
We used to have our first year classes over here.

Jiva Chaitanya, the fav place for every boy in the college.

At the back is the love lane of the college:

Butter smooth roads in fron of the college:

We headed back towards Thanjavur and went straight to big temple. It's a world heritage site. We used to go a lot over there.

To have our lunch, we went to Sathars, the fav restaurant of all the Sastra students. If anyone of you reading this, ever goes to Thanjavur, have your lunch or dinner in Sathars.

                            Chicken Maharaja:

By the time we came back to our hotel, it was already 4pm. We left for pondicherry around 5pm. The moment we touched NH67, we were overjoyed, the roads were too smooth and we thought we will cover pondicherry in max 4 hours, so naive. After sometime only we had to leave those roads. We had to go towards Kumbakonam. The roads were not the best of that we had seen till now in our trip. We had to travel through many cities and towns, thin roads, high speeding trucks and traffic. After covering around 90kms, Girish stopped for dinner. We were about to hit ECR once again, we were waiting eagerly for that. The moment we had hit ECR we were very happy, once again very smooth roads. But now this ECR wasn't as good as the one we had ridden on previous night. The traffic was more and few places very scary. Stopped for 10 mins break after riding for 40kms. From there we moved towards Pondicherry and decided we will directly stop over there. Just 20kms before the roads were not in best condition and at few places were totally broken, so we had to stop again, our back was hurting a lot. We reached pondicherry around 12am. Searched for hotels but most of them were full. Finally got one for Rs900. We went out to look for dinner but all was closed. We had to fill our stomachs with bananas only. Had around 6 bananas. We came back to room and slept. It was already 1am and we had to get up around 5am again, to watch the sunrise, the most beautiful scene of the whole trip.

                                Day 7:

We woke up at 5am, I was the first person to get up. I was very tired so I thought, forget it, I'm gonna sleep, this sunrise I have already seen before, wont be any different. But then I thought it would cruel to other 2 riders who have never been to pondy. Woke them up and we headed straight towards the beach road to see the sunrise. It was still dark. but very beautiful. I would have been stupid if I had not come to see the sunrise, it's such a beautiful thing that you can look at it again and again. I will let the pictures do the talking.

After having a coffee at that place we went back to our hotel. Saw a police wala near parking lot, he was having 1995 model of Bullet diesel, he claimed that it gives a mileage of 85kmpl , I highly doubt. But the bike was well maintained.

I told my friends, I'm too tired so you guys please go ahead without me and visit some places in pondy. But I think nobody wanted to go out in that heat so we stayed at our room and watched a horror movie of 80s, 'Purana Mandir'. We went out to have breakfast but most of them were just open and some of the good hotels operate only after 12:30. I rarely compromise on food, so I wanted to have it at a good place. We came back to our room, packed our bags, tied them to our bikes and went to have lunch. We got a really good hotel, with good food at less price and good ambiance.

After having lunch we moved towards Bangalore road, this time used IPhone to get our way. Soon we were on NH66. Damn good roads. Whenever I tried to touch 130+ kmph I was able to. Our happiness was short lived.
Once we entered Tindivanam roads were again 2 lanes, though smooth but with good traffic on them. We passed Gingee, saw the Gingee fort but didnt stopped, we didnt even knew about it.
Once we passed Thiruvannamalai trouble started. It was the worst ever road that I had ridden on. Big big pot holes, you cannot escape them. If you miss one you will hit another. We got frustated. But we had to move on no matter what the condition of the road is. We kept on moving, stopped at some places. Few pics:
Santosh trying to emulate riders crossing victory line in Motogp, though without a smile on his face.

                                Few more pics:

The roads were too bad to ride and at few places there was no road only. For some moment I was riding behind Santosh, trying to miss the potholes that he was hitting but still could not avoid the others which he missed. The road was all bad till Krishnagiri. We were waiting for NH7. The moment we touched NH46 and then NH7, we felt it was heaven. I had never felt so good riding on NH7 as on that day. Our next and final stop was A2B.
                                Few pics from there:

                                Fully tired:

Our only pic in which we all were on bikes together:
                                .

Finally we moved forward to Bangalore. Never enjoyed riding on NH7 that much, it was equivalent to my first bike trip, we went to Hogenakkal by NH7 only. We reached bangalore around 10:30. We headed straight towards Girish's house to get photos from him, we could not wait till monday, and then towards Santosh's house and finally I reached home at 11:45pm.
                                End of the trip.
