Except for the seat part.. I believe Ninja is very comfortable for long rides
It does takes some ripping to get on the hills but the engine sound in High Revvs kept me all satisfied

I had a right shoulder pain on the 3rd day of the ride.. later I realized that I was having this pain from before the ride and it got enhanced due to continuous riding...
          Got to visit a doc soon {Doctor I mean my Gym instructor }

Day 3 Part 2 - Luxury in between the Woods

Day 3 Part 2 - Luxury in between the Woods

Well after that amazing ride in the clouds, we were under an impression that the best part of the trip has come to an end and we are done with the main adventure part and the boring phase would begin from now on. Riding back on the same roads and nothing much

BUT BUT BUT the Jungle had something else for us in stock

The plan now was to stay at a resort/room in Madumalai forest and start off to Bangalore next day morning after exploring around the forest....

It was heavily raining at that time and we were searching for a place to stay for the night...

The last thing we could expect in the midst of a dense forest was a TRAFFIC JAM with almost 20 -25 cars stopped on both the sides and everyone honking
Going a bit further we saw that a Ritz and a Maruti800/Alto had a bad head-on crash and they were quarreling in the mid of the jungle in some language - Kannada/Tamil...
The only thing we could understand was the Ritz owner saying, "DONT EVEN DARE TO SAY ABOUT VISHWAASA"

While stopping for the traffic to clear me & Ram were thinking what would be the case if a herd of wild elephants came out of the jungle in a bad mood listening to all the stupid car owners HONKING

We slowly came out of that mess... and going further while Ram and Shashi went ahead I spotted a baby tusker grazing almost on the road and slowly stopped by and watched the elephant for sometime to find out what its mood was at that time
After close observation I could find out that the elephant had chains on the legs and a tilak.. which says its a tame elephant by the forest officials..

So slowly I got down the bike to click a pic along with my bike

While I was clicking this pic, it was sometime and then Ram and Shashi realized that they missed me... Shashi was returning back for me not realizing that the side of the road he was riding had an elephant very close to the road
He was trying to ask me what was the reason I stopped and I pointed him the elephant on the road
This was when the tusker lifted its trunk and Shashi suddenly looked to his left... He was startled and suddenly turned his R15 to the right side
Here is the Pic clicked after Shashi came to my side of the road:

After some cars started stopping seeing us, we went ahead...

After we crossed Madumalai and entered Bandipur (The Karnataka part of the forest) we realized that the places to stay in Madumalai were missed in the alternate route we took from Ooty...
So we went ahead towards Bandipur for search for night stay!

Here we saw a couple of Bisons... Although we did not dare to get down our bikes and click the pics, we just went ahead...

We had a look at the Tusker Trails resort but the resort was all full and no rooms were available

Ram started saying here that it would be better to stay for night in Mysore... and Shashi started saying that if we go till Mysore we would not get an opportunity to explore the forest again the next day morning...
I reminded both of them seeing some more resorts in the beginning of the Forest and we went ahead for that place...

Here we saw a herd of Deers happily grazing in the forest...
Even though it was raining I took out my camera to take the pics..
You can see the rain drops on the lens which made the pics come out like this

After just crossing Bandipur Forest welcome board we saw a Huge board which read, MC Resort... From outside the resort did not look as grand as the Tusker Trails but we were just hoping to find some decent room to stay for the night and went inside the resort...

The below pics say what all we saw and did inside the resort

Our Bikes after a ride in the heavy Rains

The Resort at the entrance - Looks pretty impressive eh!

The room we were allotted @ 2300 per night

View of the hills covered with mist outside the room

The Destination ~ MC Wildlife Resort

            The Pool Side!

            3 Musketeers again!

Any better place to rest after a tiresome ride in the rains ???

View around us from the pool ~ Indeed the most beautiful pool we saw in our life with crystal clear water and forest around us with all greenery and mist on the mountains

            Time for a Dip

            Play a game of TT

In the midst of the Woods!

            Now it was Dinner time...
Remember? We did not have our Lunch!

The dinner was damn tasty and below was our order:
            ~ Two Pepper Chicken
            ~ Two Chilli Chicken
            ~ One Ginger Chicken Wet
            ~ One Veg Manchuria
            ~ 10 Chapatis
            ~ One Chicken Fried Rice
            ~ One Egg Fried Rice
            ~ Two Sweet Lime Soda
            ~ Two Pepsi
            ~ Two Salt lime soda
Well only 3 of us ate all these

            ***BEFORE***

            ***AFTER***

Our Bikes after a rain wash in the night

After a sumptuous Dinner what else could one ask in the chilling climate other than a Bon-Fire

Well we least expected that we would end up doing all these things in the mid of a forest...
The trip for us was getting better day by day and hour by hour

So what happened the next day?
Was there anything more exciting for Day4 or it was just the journey back to Bangalore....

To know more keep watching this space

The quarrel those guys were into on the accident spot was happening in Malayalam.
I have those words still in my head " You talk about vishwasa? " " Don't talk about viswasa you ...... "
              LOL!!!

Pool was the best pool I've ever been to. It was like taking a dip in mineral water. the ambiance of the resort was pretty good. It had the power of calming any person. The rooms were good, food was great, amenities were flawless, bon fire location was great, parking was lavish yet safe. It was one of the best resorts I've been to till date. Totally worth visiting.

Ninja can do more with ease, But the rider was recently promoted to the next level in life. " uncle " . he took up the father's position a couple of weeks before the ride so he was driving responsibly and wasn't taking risk at all. (It's a goiod thing and I really appretiate it)

I on the other hand am an irresponsible bachelor still in my " youth " so I kept redlining my baby blade just to hit the magical number " 165 " and it was possible only once throughout our trip.

Day 4 - An early morning ride into the wild!

Day 4 - An early morning ride into the wild!

As a rider what else do you want than waking up in the morning with chirping of the birds, mist over the mountains teasing you reminding their beauty and ride through the woods !

After a luxurious night it's pretty hard to wake up early in the morning...
The initial idea was to wake up and crank our bikes before 6am so that we can be there outside the Bandipur forest gates and witness the opening... We planned this keeping in mind that we can spot maximum wildlife this way... Who knows we can see a tiger too

But we could not wake up until 6am or so and started off our bike safari at around 7:30am after gearing up lazily

Early morning view outside the resort

We left the R15 at the resort for this ride and I sat as a pillion on the CBR to click some pics on the move...

The experience we had early in the morning between the woods was just amazing...
Now let me take you to a ride inside the forest

National Bird spotted - Roaming freely in the forest

The Divine Light from the CBR250R

We did see some Deers running in herds but could not capture any pics...

A couple of wild elephants spotted in Bandipur

                                A Ninja Grasshopper

After the early morning ride till Nallamalai (Tamil Nadu border) and back we had a breakfast buffet waiting for us which comprised of Idly, Puri, Upma and a sweet....
After a heavy breakfast we started our journey again!

Some wildlife pics clicked by visitors at the resort in the safari's

While traveling back from resort towards Mysore, we could see all the memories going back in our Rear view mirrors and it was pretty Nostalgic feeling
With this feeling we could hear one more sound from our bikes... which was our bike's super dry chains after all the ride in the rains

Initially we thought to get our chains oiled after reaching Mysore/Bangalore but the sound from the Ninja was getting me more than worried.. This is when Shashi gave an idea that 90 Grade oil would be available in some petrol bunks

We stopped at the first petrol bunk but only 1 liter bottle was available there... Nevertheless we went ahead with the purchase, took out a small oil bottle from the dustbin, asked for a needle and put a hole on the cap...

And TA-DA our DIY Chain lube was ready

After oiling our chains, it was a pretty smooth drive for us till Mysore...
Stopped by a place where there was an abandoned train for a small photo shoot

We reached back Bangalore after a lunch break at MC Donalds...

My right shoulder pain was getting more worse at this point of time and realizing that I had to ride for around 600 kms the next day, I had to get a relispray for killing the pain...

After dinner I slept very early and Ram, Shashi went out to meet Sudeep...

The next day was ride from Bangalore to Hyderabad....

Day 5 log coming up soon
