Kiran was doing some 150+ , I did 165kmph on NICE RR and 161kmph on NH7 due to crosswinds, couldn't break the 165kmph mark, shashi was doing some 120kmph.

Okay, Let me talk about the DIY go pro :P

I had order a spy camera a couple of months ago for dunno what reason. It was lying in my desk for quite some time and I decided to make good use of it in this trip. I carried the spy cam along with a 3M super stick double sided tape. After crossing bandipur forest, I took that camera from my bag and stuck it on top of my helmet. Turned it on and we strarted riding to our destination. The tape made such a bond between the helmet and the cam that I was able to lift the helmet by holding the camera alone. No body knew where the cam was focusing but we gave it a shot. The video came out just abuot ok, No where close to GOPRO but acceptable.

No I don't think so ... It was just me and a guy on a RE 350 classic ... And neither of us have an A*

Day 3 - Part 1 End of the trip or a new Beginning!

Day 3 - Part 1 End of the trip or a new Beginning!

As the name suggests... this was our last day at Ooty and we planned to start back and stay for the night at Bandipur.

The plan was to wake up early in the morning (which again was the responsibility of our SPOC - Shashi) and head towards Coonoor, boat house and get back to the room. Shashi was more than excited to ride in the clouds and woke up by 3:30am :O and was checking outside the window for the right time...

Till the time we woke up and got ready, Shashi went around on my Ninja and had a great time waking up the monster

We started off by sunrise time and went towards Coonoor! The ghats till Coonoor were awesome... We could not enjoy cornering on the hair pin bends the last day and ensured we enjoyed these ghats to the fullest.

The first stop was at a shiv temple. An awesome location which can't be explained in words and needs some pics....

After the visit to Coonoor it was time for a heavy breakfast which comprised of alu parathas, gobi parathas and puris

A funny political leader campaign pic at Coonoor

We went to the boat house to have a look but it was very much crowded and we were least interested in tourist infested spots :P

Went back to the lodge and I made some good use of my 5033 f1.8 covering some nice flowers around the place...

After having a bath and getting ready, we started off back from Ooty thinking that this is the end of the best part of the trip

The day before Praful said us that there were two alternate routes for Bandipur to Ooty but while coming to Ooty we could not find any major diversion...

On the way back we witnessed some amazing nature which is again tough to explain with words and needs some pics to make justice to the beauty

Near the Tea Estates, I wanted to explore one road which was a diversion from the normal route and this was the place where Ram and Shashi missed me and waiting for them i ate 5-6 fresh carrots

Here comes the main part of the trip... Riding in the clouds.. OUR DREAM!
We witnessed the heavy mist on the way back where it was tough to see anything further to 5 feet around us!

For the first time I had known Shashi... He asked us to take a pic of him while riding!
And so we had a pretty long photoshoot

After the lengthy photoshoot in the mist we stopped by a place which we could easily say the best place visited in our trip

These buffaloes are more luckier than we Hyderabadi's enjoying these beautiful places

A waterfall on the way back

We almost reached Madumalai forest riding in continuous rain and this is where we realized that we took an alternate route Praful was speaking about a day before and were more than happy with the mistake we did unknowingly

We entered the Madumalai Forest gate thinking that we were wrong that the trip has ended and the way back from Ooty to Madumalai was the best part of the trip!

            So what happened next???
Was our assumption correct or there was more excitment waiting for us at our next destination???

To know more watch this thread for Day 3 Part 2 - Luxury in between the Woods

This is a second trip log am going through carefully. Beautiful pictures brothers. Very awesome!! First time I read Praful's detailed 'BAKWAS' about this route made me drool. Now, yours 'BAKWAS' has made me determined that someday, in my life, I will do a ride here & that too during the monsoons. FANTASTIC 'BAKWAS' guys... am LOVING it (hope you didn't mind the 'BAKWAS' thing... it was in lighter mood)

Congrats Kirran for the new member in your family.. may god bless the young soul
