Wow nice photos....It would have been advetrous while touring a Cbr....Thnx for the pics....Keep going drive safe...Originally posted by yatishankar View PostBiru Bhai,
I must and must agree, you are one of the hell of a rider i have ever seen in xbhp. You just dont seem to miss out a single oppurtunity to ride whenever you get a chance. First R15 and now the CBR. Its always been a treat to the eyes and an inspiration to us the zeal with which you come out with a route and just keep riding.
Keep riding boss.

I guess I saw you somewhere before Hiriyur(after Chitradurga) between Pune-Bangalore.
I was riding in the opposite direction on a black R15. I waved at you, couldn't make out if you noticed.

The CBR belongs to the highways, a fantastic touring machine, a bigger tank would have done wonders, keep them coming

Day 1 - Pune-Banglore-Hosur-Krishnagiri-Thiruvannamalai
Another solo trip done on the long weekend. We had company off on 31st August and 01 September, took leave on 02 and I had all 05 days for my plan.
Though I have considered 05 and 06th September as buffer, and plan was to take planned sick leave.
Routemap of Day 01

I had planned to start off on 30th August evening, but I was feeling very tired due to the hectic day I had at office. So I said, let take a quick nap for 3-4 hours and start for the Journey. But the quick nap wasn't a quick one, I woke up and saw the clock it was 03 AM.Damn !..I quickly completed the daily rituals and started for Satara.
Somewhere ahead of Belgaum

Another Variation

I made it to Banglore by 02 PM afternoon. Tanked up three times in the whole Pune - Banglore stretch for 2100 bucks.
Nearby Tumkur

I had to take Nice road to bypass the Banglore city. And first time in my career of biking I saw, that you have to pay Toll Fee for bikes as well. Yes you heard it right, they charged 40 Rs at the entry point and 10 rs at the exit of the Nice road. But was it worth paying 50 Rs for that road. See for yourself

Just when I crossed Hosur,Chain started to give me some troubles. It got quite loose and was making an irritating noise. I stopped at Krishnagiri at a Honda showroom, they tightened the chain and lubed it for free
.My Initial plan was to reach Pondicherry by the night via Chennai. But when I reached Krishnagiri I saw a sign board stating Chennai around 200 Kms in one direction and Pondicherry 200 kms in other direction. So I skipped the Chennai route and took the other route. Road was complete disaster, full of potholes.
A beautiful sight along the disaster route

I reached Tiruvanamalai at 07 PM,I called my fellow Xbhpian Ananth to check how is the road condition ahead and can we stay at Tiruvanamalai for the night. He advised me to stay at Tiruvanamalai as the road condition ahead is not good, also he told me that Tiruvanamalai is a Temple City..try to check out the Shiva temple out there.
I took the good advice and decided to stay back for the night. Got one room nearby temple for 250 Bucks. It was time to rest in dream
