        on 6th, Thursday i saw an Intruder and CBR 1000R near Bijnore.. must be from your group

              Hi,
              my first post on this forum, first congratulations to all of you and to the "Mean Machines", Chopta is a very beautiful place and icing on the cake is that you were their in company of your friends and beloved machines.Did u trek till Tungnath and Chandershila?

              It is just a part of the entire travelogue, when is the complete story coming.

              Beautiful Pics of man machine and nature.

              Iam also planning a trip to same place CHOPTA after Diwali (last week of Oct 2011).

              Could you please tell me the followings:

              1. Distance, time and best route from delhi to chopta
              2. Lodging options, at chopta and at Tungnath.
              3. Nearby places to visit.....

              Thanks in advance and iam waiting for a complete story and pics....

                Judging by the fact that there won't be that many CBR's in that region, and the fact that we indeed were on that road on that day, you definitely must have seen us.

                  Bharti, welcome to xBhp and hope you put many more posts. The distance to Chopta is approx 466 kilometers and the map is given below. You have many small hotels in Chopta and camps around. It is always better to book in advance before going. If you are a mean rider and can ride over treacherous roads for extended periods of time, you could make it in a day, however, I would suggest that to enjoy the ride, you do it in two parts and could consider spending a night in lansdowne enroute.
