Thanks Shrinath ! If you are from Goa- we visit there every year. The last was when we rode down on our RX 100 in April this year.
Here's wishing you and your wife many enjoyable and safe rides to come in the future

      P.S. I miss your Rx here...sir!
Thanks Ram. Old enough to choose a car ?? Well, I guess my prologue may answer your question. Moreover I work on civil projects and keep driving all over Karnataka on work. Wifey is a school teacher and drives her car to school, so the first chance we get we jump on to a bike and ride off ! It's a wonderful sense of freedom

Thanks Phani (sorry for the late reply). Yes, I guess that diary you mention has gotten heavier and hope it will continue to do so as long as our bodies can take it. The ride on the Fiero was a lot more comfortable for both of us and were really relaxed at the end of the ride. I guess a transition is inevitable.

            ridermax,

Mrs RM and you have proven some truths here:

            1. There is no age for biking.

            2. There is no matrimonial status AND vintage of said matrimonial status for biking.

            3. There is no choosing between bikes for biking as long as the said bike is a BIKE.

            4. There is no limit to the sheer joy of living and loving life together on two wheels.

            NOW

I intend to rekindle the biking/travelling/touring/discovering/living/re-inventing spirit of my wife with your sojourns (esp those of Mrs RM) as a spark.

Father to father: how do you arrange for your kids' care on these journeys with the mother is what foxes me - ALL my planned rides with my better half have been stymied due to this Herculean task.

You are a role model for the not so young on this forum and I cannot but throw a salute for your "Ride Safe" signature.

            ridermax, take a bow...

Thank you very much Sir ! Your comments are truly a great honor for us. The points you have mentioned are so very true

As for my "Ride Safe" signature- it comes from the heart. In the year that I have been a member on this forum, I have met a wonderful bunch of youngsters, heroes in their own right, many of who have undertaken breathtakingly daring rides which many of us can only dream about. Yet their warmth, respect and affection touches my heart. I want these young men to continue to enjoy their rides safely for many, many years to come- hence the signature

              Warm Regards & Best Wishes

Simply superb! good stuff mate! I suggest you explore some options around saddlebags instead of your better half carring the weight all the way on her back.

                    Keep riding.

Thanks a lot Royd. A change of bike, albeit retro, is around the corner. Yup, we plan to fix up some saddle bags and stuff to lighten the burden on my already burdened wifey.

Thanks a lot strider. Yes, I know what you mean when you say 'priorities', but we love biking so much that we try to keep it way up there at the top.

Wonderful to see you hitting the road two up once again! Once bitten, never shy is the riding bug, I suppose.

Thank you very much Col. Sir. You are so right about the riding bug, we just jump on to the bike and ride off the first opportunity we get !
Wish you all the very best for your Leh planning.
