So, next day, i.e. 07th Oct, Friday, we woke up lazily at 09:00 AM. The Hill top HPTDC hotel @ Swarghat is right besides the busy NH21A, The Kullu Manali Highway where there you will find major truck traffic due to many Cement factories in that region. Some would try to climb at 05kms/hr & some, after loading off their sh*t, will overtake them at 25 kms/hr on blind curve w/o having any regards for others. Swarghat is not at a very high altitude. It's just 15-20 kms from the plains. After getting ready we enquired about loacal sight seeing places. As usual, we were told to visit a temple. Not interested. So, we asked whether any other place where we can visit. We were told that we can visit Bilaspur where there is a lake. We though of giving it a try. We were more interested in riding to Bilaspur as Bilaspur was 30 odd kms from there. Riding through twisties is just like you caressing gently waist line of a beautiful, curvy woman

We wanted to have a good but light on pocket breakfast. So we continued to ride along the route in search of a decent dhaba. Stopped at one of them. Asked how much would bread ommlette cost. Rs 40 was the reply. Seems like chicks are refusing to produce eggs nowadays. Had parantha & chai & buscuits at last.

On our way, we had to cross one bridge. We could see a river flowing underneath the bridge. As thrilled a city guy becomes after seeing such a tempting scene, we both got excited. We tried finding a way to the river bed but there wasn't any. A bit dissapointed, we parked our bikes at a secluded place & did some photography. Sandeep had his DSLR made to work at it's peak while I was trying out with my Powershot...

As you can see, the water level isn't much but still worth a stop. I have noticed that rivers in HP are running dry these days. It's direct impact of the environmental mayhem the humans have unleashed.

We took another break for photography near a village. I must say villages on the hills look / appear much beautiful than the villages which we encounter in the plains. There is an atmosphere of calmness & cleanliness sorrounding them. I personally like it a lot

Abey yaar... pucrchased this camera just a week before the trip duwing which I had to complete month end @ office & enjoy Durga Puja festival with my wife & family

Brother, thanks a lot. It was indeed a good enough break from the routine life. And the kind of night ride we both have done, we can now say that we are good for any tough tour

You took the Pinjore - Baddi - Nalagarh - Swarghat route, which is the worst route one can take to Swarghat, and that too at night. I'd call it unawareness taking that route at night as there are a lot of paranormal incidents on that particular route! I have heard stories, true stories, from a lot of people about indescribable events occurring between Nalagarh - Swarghat. I am surprised no-one stopped you (locals or cops that is

Yes, that's the route. SHIT MAN!!! I knew something was very fishy on that road. I saw not a single human life there. Heck, I didn't even see a rat, dog, cat, goose etc. So many times I have thought of askign your no. since you are the encyclopedia of HIMACHAL. MAN!!! After reading your comments am scared now. I am not a regular tourer like you guys are. I did that route & that too with a newbie. Man, next time I will take some help of yours apart from google

^^ You should thank your guiding angel who brought you and titanic back to the safety and comfort of your house.

I hope now on you will plan your trips/routes more carefully, Google baba can surely you tell the way but can't tell you such facts about the way. So now on please consult seasoned long riders like Kurt prior to venturing into such territories.

Anyway, I am really glad that you managed to break the mundane daily life routine and escaped to the beauty of Mountains, how I wish I could do something on same line.
