Our Next scheduled stop is for Breakfast at Coonoor. By the time we reached Coonoor, the twin cylinders have figured out the Hotel with some decent parking space for our Breakfast stop in the busy Junction before the Coonoor Railway station. Was again the Usual Idly and dosa’s for breakfast, by the time I was waiting for my order to come, tried the Food Scene option in my camera – which seems like working perfectly ?
From Coonoor our next stop was Gynarth Villa-Heritage Homestay – our accommodation for today. As usual we started off as one and soon all were on their own. I and Raman stopped for Photographs here and there and wherever the nature was pleasing to click, while others was riding up. Tried to take some video (which seems like has come out good – will do some editing and post them) and caught up with the rest of the gang at one of the view points.
After a 5 min break, I started clicking pictures while others started to the ride and decided to stop just before the entrance to the city. After shooting around the nature through my Nikon, I regrouped with the rest of them. Enquired with the locals there and we landed up in the Heritage Hotel – which was quite awesome, fantastic and wonderful. Thanks Sriram for looking out for this place. The villa is still carrying the Heritage value with the 18th century feel also we were welcomed by the Vintage car which was parked at the entrance. When we walked in the wooden floor gives us the creepy sound in our every step and the rooms were spacious enough with the king size beds of the 18th century with own fire place in all the rooms. I went on clicking pictures of the villa. There was a separate wooden cottage in the nearby lawn which was really beautiful but they will let out only for the couples it seems ?
Idea anyone

After refreshing up, we strolled out for Lunch at a Chinese Restaurant and wonderful Chicken and Beef dishes along with rice?. After a heavy lunch few decided to take rest, while me, Sriram, Raman, Jaffer and Sai decided to venture out and checkout the nearby places.

It was cloudy and in the hill stations day light is for limited time – so we decided to check out the Shooting Meadows first which was some 10kms – but that 10kms was very tough to ride mainly due to the cold winds and our speeds came down. It was fascinating ride and the place was not crowded. We parked our bikes in such a way we can see them from the top where we are gonna walk up too. After few yard up I turned to check whether the bikes are in our view – yes they were and good that I turned around to see them and was wondering why Jaffer’s FZ lights are on – quickly realized that he left the keys in the bike - Jaffer made a quick dash to grab the keys while we moved up slowly. Views around are awesome with the flowing meadows all around and some photo session, we were good to go for the next stop – Pykara. After coming to the parking area we grabbed ourselves some hot tea to warm-up ourselves.
Began the chilly ride again to pykara, while others kept riding I stopped in few places to click some pictures and soon reached the Pykara Falls parking to find no one there, then thought they would have went to the Pykara Lake – rode there to find the entrance was closed. Was about to ride further to check out where they went, saw them returning back as they overshoot the spot and kept riding. After some random photos – as it was already Cold and Dark we decided to head back to the villa for warmth.
As we were out, sunny and others tried to reach us to decide on the dinner, and we were so busy in riding, couldn’t answer their call – sunny went ahead and ordered dinner for us. We got ourselves cozy in the living room with the fire place for warmth. By 8pm the dinner was served and was a great experience in having them in the dinner hall. After some chit-chats, Rajiv gave idea of going for a walk and we followed. Rajiv, Sriram, Jaffer, Raman, Sai and Me went for a walk while Sunny, Ravi and Pratheep were settled down in the rooms.
We took a stroll, as the town was in sleep except for few people here and there. Sriram went over to the medical shop for cold tablets and alongwith that checked out for the places to visit. With the places mentioned by the shopkeeper, we finalized on doing Dodabetta the first thing in the morning and come back for Breakfast and then ride to Pykara. We strolled out for some more distance and returned to room. Sunny was awake so informed him that we will be starting by 6am for the Ride and he was game for that, also made sure, he will wake up Ravi too for the Ride. Watched TV for some time and went to bed – kept the alarms on all the mobiles so that we can wake up in time.
