Man O Man! The pictures tell the tale wonderfully well..The HDRs are awesome and so is the trip-log..I loved to read through all of it, was totally immersed in the conversational tone that you have given to the log.

Thanks a lot for sharing this wonderful experience here on xBhp! Wonderful. I have a couple of questions though:

        1. Why didn't you take NH-1 to reach Dehradun/ Mussoorie instead of going all the way through Ghaziabad/ Meerut?

        2. Did you book your accomodation at the respective GMVN guest houses, prior to visiting Harsil and Dhanaulti? Or is accomodation easily available at the spot?

Thanks and kudos to you guys for successfully completing this wonderful journey. The cold weather, the wonderful vistas, the fear, the excitement, all adds up to life's experiences. Nice, real nice.
        :)

                1. The route is more familier to me and so it became easy for me to plan..plust the Cheetal factor was also there.

                2. Well we didnt book any accomdtn....neither at Dhanaulti nor at Harsil. But we were fortunate that it was an off-season time and hence we got it easily. The manager at Harsil told us that during summers, even booking of 1 month fails to work sometimes!!!

@shailay: That's what I was wondering about. Generally, GMVN guest-houses are booked to the brim well in advance. I remember when I rode to Lansdowne, I was lucky enough to get one room (the last one left vacant) when I booked just 4 days in advance, although it was a little too big for two people..
                  :)
