        Thanks mate!

As far as the NOC and Road Tax of MH - I did not have both. I had my bike at Pune hardly for a year. Getting a NOC would mean when I return back to my hometown I would need to get a NOC again from the RTO in Pune. Since I knew I was not going to stay at Pune for a long term I did not get NOC from my local RTO in Chennai.

I was checked thrice in MH in the span of 11 months and paid a total of Rs 400 to the cops. This seemed to be cheaper than getting the NOC and paying road tax :P Though I would recommend you to get NOC and pay the road tax if you are planning to settle in the place for a long term!

It was a nice narration Manoj. I am sure it would remain one of the memorable rides of you, riding home after two years, on one of the best highways with one of the best tourers.

Delhi-Chennai shouldn't take 5 days. It can be easily done in 3ish days. 2 if you are in a hurry

Yes, sure. Why Not? If you are in a real real hurry, this is an option which is very much possible.

Day 1: Delhi - Pune ( I have personally done 85% of that route in 20 hours without hurrying 1 year, 1 month and 17 days back. Roads are in better condition right now than last year.)

You mean the 85% link? or entire Chennai to Delhi? I only see half the route.
