Congratulations. You are officially 'iron' lady now.
    Moment to cherish for long.
Just this morning, (I thought) I have seen a girl on red RTR speeding on the highway. First, I refused to believe my eyes and after reading your story my mind is convinced about what my eyes registered.
Proud to see this happening in India. Way to go! So, when do we see a writeup of this sort for Bum Burner!

And since you have been there and done that, for the benefit of the community, please share the process of getting certified after the ride. Also, any external links you may have researched will be quite helpful for prospective riders.

For the certification I had sent it across to the email addresses given on the website, to Donna to be more specific. And I read a lot about the experiences posted on the website about how the other riders completed the ride, and mostly about what food they carried and problems faced.
The website has a lot of resources! www.ironbutt.com
Also, I kept visualizing a lot about all the problems I might face, and kept mentally preparing on how best I can handle it alone. It was only after I was comfortable with my thoughts, I left for the ride.

i don't know if i am appropiate enough to make a remark as i am not skillful, corageous enough to head out for a saddlesore, not that i intend to.kudos to you, take a bow.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
              #overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

one question though. how did honda give you the bike for a week?
were you charged for the bike or just as a goodwill gesture?

I had written to Honda and requested then to give me the bike for a day. I promised to return it in good condition. the guys from Saphir Honda were really kind to do so...

                          • Congratulations to you Chithra on becoming the first girl to complete the Saddle Sore. I too did a Bangalore - Mumbai during the same time and I understand how difficult it is to ride on that cold and dark highway at night.

Really amazing achievement !! Congratulations once again !!
