Absolutely wonderful trip log and equally attractive pics. The food looks too too yummy... And with a group this size, you guys seem to jell very well and shows biker brotherhood at its best. Full appreciations to all of you. Enjoying every bit of it.

Day 3 - Kovalam to Alleppey

Heard a distant sound and somebody woke me up and handed over the phone to me. switched off the alarm and slept back. Few minutes after that i couldn't sleep and woke up to realise that i have dozen off in middle of the discussion. After a quick facewash, was ready to hit the beach but others were still sleeping in the room, moved out to otehr room where my camera and stuff were there. Picked up the things and informed that am heading to the beach anyone interested do catchup over there and left. Strolled out to beach and joined Karthick who was there before me. We walked over the beaches lookin at nature, the fishermen who were pulling their nets from the sea and few foreigners sun-bathing. All of them in the beach were looking at the fishermen who were singing along and pulling the nets. It took then an hour or so to pull in the nets while we had our morning coffee and some photos.




Soon sun started its work and we hit back to the room, while other members also were awake by now and were discussin on the place to see in Kanyakumari which was our destination for the day. Soon discussion were on what to see there and where to keep our bikes in case we need to ride to the Vivekanda Rock - with all the confusions Kanyakumari was skipped. Now whats the place we need to ride... we dont want to ride back early to home :-) but decided to extend the ride for one more day ;-) with the help of Lijo from trivandrum New destinations Alleppey and Thekkady was added. With new desinations in place, all started to quickly get ready for the ride, and within half hour all were gearing up the bikes. Couple of Group pictures and we headed out for early lunch. Sunny took us to a hotel where he had wonderful non-veg last time he visited, but to our luck - seems like the hotel owners have changed and currently they were serving Pure Vegetarian food :-(. Gave priority to food instead of what type of Food and gobbled up some Punjabi thali's and started our ride back. Roads to Alleppey were SH and we faced some good amount of traffic. Took couple of breaks for refreshment and stopped at Kollam to meet up Aneesh and Hari who were ther eto catch up with us. Few minute discussions, and they escorted us to escape from traffic and gave the first glimpse of the Backwaters and houseboats. soon we were on our track back to our destination Alleppey.


Took a break some 40kms before the destination, to get a real break from the chaotic traffic. with some juices, Puffs and biscuits we snacked our tummies while Sriram and other used this time to find the guest house for stay at Alleppey - After googling and Justdailing we blocked rooms at KTDC's Tamarind. started our ride back and managed to reach the guest house after checking with the locals. Vijay and others got lost in the traffic and after couple of calls n directions they also reached the rooms. Rooms were really good the price and soon all got settleing down and getting refreshed to hit our next destination Brother's Restaurant for our dinner. We had good reviews from our friends about the food so we dont want to miss any dishes .



After checking the directions, we headed to Brothers and ordered all in the menu. Lucky for me and couple more were able to get Aappam, adding up to that we had Idiyappam, Puttu, Parotta's with Chicken, Fish, Rabbit curries and ice-creams to end dinner . With our tummies full we slowly rode back to the room, started our chat session. While others kep continuing, Me, Ananth and Karthik went to sleep as we will be starting back to home the next day while others will ride to Thekkady and roam aorund places and pick a stay enroute and start the next to next day for home.

How can I forget while you guys were having meaty feast at Allepey - Hotel Brothers? Myself and Ananth humbly finished the dinner with kerala special aapam/puttu/kadala-curry.
