@ Inder bhai,
I am not new to ghats, have spent years riding in himalayas (read steeper more dangerous) but memories of Lavasa crash don't want to leave me so soon

I admit that I am a slow rider and will never try to catch up with you guys

Leave it but yes it was indeed a great trip. Perfect weateher, pretty much good roads and responsible fellow riders.

"Guys, its a road...not a track...if you want to really get noticed, please enroll in a proper riding school and ensure that you ride on a track...cause when you fall on a track, the gravel traps will at least be able to hold you...in a ghat like that where you were riding, the rock face, the valley or an oncoming vehicle will be the only options that you will have."

These thing happens almost everday with me... some or the orther guy usually on smaller cc bikes just triy to take a lead without the concern of others/himself/traffic.... pisses me off.
The best thing to do is let them take a lead and maintain ur cool

Ironically thou ... Karizma guys never do such things. i guess its mutual respect !

One more question-Kambhakti ghats is the one after Shirwal?Sorry very bad with the name of all the ghat section

Also what is the name of the ghat section from Wai to Mahabaleshwar(I think it constitutes of two ghats) and Mahabaleshwar to Poladpur?

There's nothing wrong in knowing places in a better way be it Delhi or any other part of India.

P.S:Geography always excites me.Used to be my favourite subject in school

It isnt close to Venna lake but its a little 20kms(off-roading) from Venna lake..!!

And, secondly wen we come back i.e from wai to pune then we dont pass thru the ghats but rather we pass thru a tunnel and then hit the highway..!!

Well, i dont know the name of the ghat section from wai to mahabaleshwar but there's only one ghat section rather than 2.

And, i dont know abt the ghats of mahabaleshwar to poldapur...

Khambatki ghats are near Shirwal/Khandala.From Wai to Panchgani is Pasarni ghats.Mahabaleshwar to Poladpur -> Ambenali ghats

(We lost a thread on ghats in Maharashtra from old xbhp)
