    4 Bikes 800+ kilometers 3 days - A Circuit Road Trip

    Date: 3rd, 4th and 5th March 2011
    Trip track : Krishnagiri - Mysore – Ooty – Coimbatore - Krishnagiri

    Riders:

Dr. Nandha Kumar – Royal Enfield Thunderbird
    Sathish Kumar – Yamaha FZ
    Praveen kumar – Honda Unicorn
    Thulashi dharan – Yamaha R15 2.0

It is all started three months ago to plan for a ride to cover around 1000 kms. Me and Sathish have decided to make it as Circuit trip hence the trip route starts from Krishnagiri – Mysore – Ooty – Coimbatore – Krishnagiri.
Since it was a first planned long trip I couldn’t sleep the last night because of excitement.

Day 1: I was getting rush to be at the spot but little late. Exactly as planned at 6 am, Dr. Sir called to inform that he arrived at the Meeting spot.

Learning: “Have to be more punctual and felt shame” were Dr. Sir at the age of 74 made it as Simple.

Kamesh (Harley Davidson) and Ashwin (TVS Apache) friend of Dr. Sir came along with us to have breakfast at Sulagiri McDonald and went back to Krishnagiri after conveying their wishes to our trip.

350 kms from Krishnagiri to reach Ooty via Mysore road, after crossing couple of tollgates at Mysore road we had an unfortunate situation with Thunderbird.
Problem: Oil was not pumped to the piston.
    Solution: Unknown at that momentJ.
Decided to park the bike at the nearest petrol bunk and Dr. Sir called his friend Noor (mechanic) to take care of his bike. Handed over the thunderbird key to Petrol bunk manager and shared the phone numbers for further communications. Why?????

Because no one had one percent of second thought to cancel the trip
Decided to shuffle the bikes accordingly from then,

Dr. Nandha kumar – Yamaha FZ
    Thulashidharan – Yamaha R15 2.0
Sathish Kumar – Honda Unicorn, Praveen kumar as Pillion rider.

Learning: “Thought we had some tough time it was a great experience to manage the unexpected situations especially at the unfamiliar place”

On the way to Ooty via Mudumalai it was a pleasant experience with hairpin bends. Reached Ooty around 7 pm, boarded a lodge, had dinner &coffee, had a wide talk about bikes, trip experience and next day plan to wander around.

nice trip man, pics are really good and helmets-off to nandhkumar ji.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
      #overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

              Day 2

Day 2: Early at 6 am started to get ready. As usual Dr. Sir started to do Stretching exercise and warm ups. We were watching strikingly performance by Dr. Sir.

After breakfast we were on track to visit Dotabata hills next Botanical Garden and Boat house. Our second day stay was planned at Coimbatore hence our ride starts from Ooty at 2 via kotagiri to enjoy the beautiful roads with full of hairpin bends, steep view of mountains with greenly treat to our eyes.

Repeating again as New: Reached Coimbatore around 6 pm, boarded a lodge, had dinner, had a wide talk about bikes, trip experience and next day plan to wander around.
Learning: "To ride in the hill stations especially hairpin bends, cornering speed limits and group riding"

                  Day 3

Day 3: An extreme surprise was waiting on the 3rd Day early morning:

To meet a very respectable man who is none other than Mr. Muthu Sir at Coimbatore. XBhp ID: powertwin.

Before leaving Coimbatore we had a very delicious food along with Muthu sir and rushed to reach the destination - Krishnagiri before 6 pm.

Learning: "3rd day is completely a learning day form Muthu Sir"

                        Day 1

First of all thanks to Thulasi for starting this thread and also for the well narration of the whole trip. Here goes my experience on this trip.

What actually made us to initiate this trip?

During our college days we have travelled some long distance but those were done in the way like lack of proper plan, No riding gears other than helmet. Things changed when we had a chance to meet Dr.Nandha Kumar Sir, a pure enthusiast biker. After meeting Dr.Sir we did many Weekend rides of 100 kms approximately with him.

One of the snap which was taken during one weekend ride:

Within some four or five rides we got bored of doing it again and again. The main reason for this boring we all learnt some good group riding etiquettes. Thanks to Dr.Sir since we have learnt everything from him alone. So for applying all the learned things as well as for enjoying, we felt like short ride is not sufficient. At this right moment, we conclude as its time to munch some miles along with Dr Sir. Then we all did proper ground work to analyse the places, routes and time schedule. For this we did not take much time since most of things are bit familiar. Initially Seven riders were ready for this trip. But unfortunately three fellows were not in the situation to come with us because of their busy work schedule. For rest of us everything went fine luckily. Then we were finally ready to burn the rubber on tarmac!!
