  • [Photo Feature]: Wild Maharashtra! - Nagzira Wildlife Sanctuary photologue

I did a 4 day trip to one the Maharashtra's lesser known but beautiful wildlife park, The Nazira Wildlife Sanctuary. This park, about 120 km from Nagpur, is a small but has a beautiful Jungle spread in a area more than 150 sq. km. It is also connected to Nawegaon wildlife sanctuary and further connected to Tadoba(TATR). It was a great trip in terms of Tiger sighting as well. But more than the Tiger what you will love is, its pristine habitat. Truly mesmerizing jungle experience.

So No teasers and No waiting...all the pictures at one go

    Some details about the trip...

Accommodation options include the forest department rest house inside the Jungle, The Pitezari tented accommodation near the Pitezari Gate and there are couple of other basic hotels around the Pitezari gate but not sure about the contact numbers.
The forest department rest houses/Pitezari camp can be booked through them by calling their office at Gondia.
    Forest Department, Gondia - 07182251232
For safari bookings, We contacted Rajesh - 9545915114. He can also arrange for accomodation. He rents the Gypsy for about 1300 per ride. For two of us, the charges came to about 1500-1600 per safari, which is quite cheaper considering the low entry charges. One can also take his own 4-wheeler inside.

I have heard about Tadoba but not Nagzira. And now after going through your thread, I have also included this in my list. Lets see when can I cross out these from the list
